    RWC - Wallabies v Italy - 11th September 2011

I don't think we will see Slipper play much/any loosehead at the WC barring injury (touch wood).

My bad, was trying to think through who'd they be, Shon Siemonik is one.

I thought Drew was brilliant against Canada, didn't look off the pace at all. I have no doubt if he gets enough game time he will be one of our wingers come quater-final time.

Much easier for Sunnybank and Uni to use that many players when they have so many Reds players. As seen by the strength of their 2nd grade sides, most of these players can easily slot into premier grade when needed. Most of these second grade players will play half the season in premier grade...

Kepu would be up against Castro at scrum time. Slipper is a better scrummager then alot of people give him credit for.

I second this, maybe with Slipper starting for Alexander as my only change.

There is a reason Uni and Sunnybank have depth, which ties in with the reason why they have so many Reds players..... You can't expect the clubs who aren't as financially well off in compairson to the likes of Sunnybank and University to be able to build their playing squad.

What to do with JOC (James O'Connor)?

I was just thinking that, outside center is the hardest position to defend from. And shouldn't we be comparing Fainga'a and Ashley-Cooper?

What to do with JOC (James O'Connor)?

I'm not doubting your analysis between the two, but I don't think it shows that McCabe is a superior player to Fainga'a.

What to do with JOC (James O'Connor)?

You can't rely on those statistics to make the judgement that McCabe is the better defender and that we are over-rating Fainga'a. From my memory, the All Blacks directed alot of attention down that first channel, especially in the second half. Fainga'a was defending wider and was not needed to...

You can add in Matt Lucas ( Reds Academy) and Nigel Ah Wong (who just went on tour with Rebels) for Sunnybank. These rep players make such a difference, as been said before, Ben Lucas and Holmes were brilliant for the Bank on the weekend, and a few weeks ago Rod Davies and Morahan destroyed Easts.

I won't be suprised if it's a Uni vs Sunnybank final. The Bank were very good on the weekend ( as you'd expect from a side with Gill and Kingi on the bench), and i think they'll go past GPS relatively easily.

Ben Mowen will be back at Easts next year I've been told. Also you're righ about Holmes up against Bermingham, it was hard to watch, but Big Red will learn from it, not many 19 year old tightheads playin premier grade.

    RWC - Wallabies v Italy - 11th September 2011

I'd be playing our starting side, Italy are no easy pushover. Whilst we should win comfortably I think we need to get the right team together for this and the Irish game before the quaters. For US and Russia let all the reserves play

They went down by about 30, I left early, they never looked like putting pressure on. I assume GPS got the bonus point with their 41 point win. I think that means Easts are out unfourtunatley, first time they've dropped out of the 4 if my memory serves me correct.

    RWC - Wallabies v Italy - 11th September 2011

I don't think Burgess and Barnes will start, it was probably just a normal training run with rotation of players

RWC 2011 - Pool D - Fiji, Namibia, Wales, South Africa, Samoa

Cannot wait to watch most of these games, poor Namibia though

So many people were certain Genia would win this, he never really came close.

Nar mate, Tigers will come home and win the whole thing and will be praised as one of the toughest title wins ever....or atleast that's what I'd like haha. After the way the played the Filth last week I have faiththey can beat the Bank, but it'll be a bloody close one, especially with Taps...
