    QLD Premier Rugby 2011

Why is Liam Gill and PAE on the bench? Same for Mitch Felsman with Brothers.

RWC 2011 - Pool A - NZ, Tonga, France, Japan, Canada

I really hope they go toe-to-toe with their war dances, it will be great to watch. And why wouldn't they, especially the Tongans, they have nothing to lose.

RWC 2011 - Odd shaped balls

Doesn't he pack at blindside but play as an openside? Or they have a left/right system?

The Springboks at the Rugby World Cup

It annoys me the Saffa's don't use their backs. Fourie and de Villiers are two of the best centers in the world, and would be awesome to watch if they had someone like Carter or Cooper feeding them the ball. Same goes for Habana and Pietersen

    RWC - Wallabies v Italy - 11th September 2011

How good was that try. The Scots are no mugs at scrum-time, watching that first scrum was scary. Also noted that almost everything the Italians do revolves around Parisse. He is their main line-out jumper, he distributes from the scrum almost all the time and is the linkman used during open...

What does a 7 "do" this week

Definatly agree with this. For a bloke coming off a long time in league, he adapted brilliantly. There isn't many converts who have played flanker, and had the ability to understand the art of pilfering the way he did. Worth keeping an eye on.

What does a 7 "do" this week

I used to love watching 7's like Pocock and Brussouw stealing ball consistantly, but the interpretations have changed that. It's probably the only rule change that I dislike, but then again, I am a loosie.

Why Does Everyone Rave About Barnes' Goal Kicking?

Probably because of how he kicked for the Wallabies last year. Was a lot more consistent for us then O'Connor and Quade

RWC 2011 - Pool A - NZ, Tonga, France, Japan, Canada

Lee do you know anything about Fulgence Ouedraogo for France? I thought he was one of their regulars, was expecting him to atleast be in the 22.

    QLD Premier Rugby 2011

To be fair it did impact their season in a massive way, no one is making excuses. But I think University are the only said capable of beating the Sunnybank side, although the filth have been brilliant most of the year. And I think that is a bit harsh on Big Red, he is fresh out of school and...

    Western Force 2012

Doesn't Sailosi play for Samoa (or has in the past)? Did Mrs Tagicakibau take the boat over to Fiji for Michael's birth haha

    QLD Premier Rugby 2011

I'm not going to comment anymore on the clubs payment things, but was it GPS who paid for the Fainga'a boys? Was that true or just a rumor? Weird considering they were never much of a chance of playing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the Shute Shield, do all clubs pay their players?

    RWC - England v. Argentina - 10th September 2011

The ArgieBargie's have named their team. There is a few very skilled players in that side who play regularly for their European sides. Albacete is one to watch out for, has been a premier lock in France for many years. Edit: Didn't realise there was a match day team thread, but oh well.

    RWC - Wallabies v Italy - 11th September 2011

I like the looks of that side, but does anyone think Ashley-Cooper is the right option at wing as the tournment progresses?

    RWC11 'Star'

"Samoan winger dude" hahahaha Yeh I also think Tuilagi will have a big tournement. But others that will become big names around the world in my opinion are Sam Warburton (Wales), Juan Ferndandez-Lobbe (Argentina), Ben Foden (England). Plus the usually stars such as Genia, Carter ect

England at the Rugby World Cup

I heard talk coming out of Saffa land that John Smit is the best hooker in the world.......but thats not him being talked up is it? :P

    RWC - England v. Argentina - 10th September 2011

England can destroy Argentina if they play expansive and get the ball to Ashton and Foden quickly, but if they try play their usuall 10 man rugby, I think the Argies could beat them. As you said Lee, they boast some pretty good players such as Fernandez-Lobbe and Contepomi, who, in my opinion...

Happy to be proven wrong, I was just stating what I've been told by numerous people, whether or not they're right is another thing.

The Springboks at the Rugby World Cup

Despite having the toughest pool, I have no doubt they will make the semi-finals. They know how they want to play, and they can execute it. This is the type of rugby that can win World Cups (ie: England 03, SA 07). But I can't guarentee I'll be able to sit through 80 minutes of a Bok game.....
