I think signing Hayne could be one of the most disrespectful things the QRU could do to the fans. It demonstrates that they're not concerned about improving the team, but would prefer a few extra fans at the game regardless on how the team performs. More importantly, 90% of League fans in...

You've got to be able to hold onto the ball going into contact before you can offload it! The amount of knock on's the Reds had in 2016 doesn't really lend itself to offloads when it's no longer in your mitts!

Just curious, does anyone know if Stiles put his hand up during the last 'world wide search' before RG was re-appointed? If Stiles wasn't good enough back then, what's changed in the 10+ months since it happened that made him the best candidate? While I think Stiles may be capable enough, like...

Tomane broke his Tibia last week, had surgery and is gone for about 2 months. So he could maybe recover in time to play SA or possibly that match in London against the Argies.

I'm not too sure if I'm reading into something that's not there, but Cooper seemed to focus on the 'culture' side of a coach quite a bit. Granted the culture at the Reds has gone down the shitter since Link left, but these two have been around long enough to help direct or instill what they...

Carmichael was also at the Reds from 2009, so I don't buy into this whole "marketers approach" recruitment. JOC (James O'Connor) was a gamble that could have paid off if he was interested in staying in Aus rugby AND was actually fit. Goro was an adequate back up and would have been an ok fullback had Hunt not...

Reds v Rebels - Battle of Pride - Friday the 15th of July

Was it just my rugby upbringing where they hammered into us "don't shovel shit". The amount of times players are pushing passes rather than going to ground is just junior level shit.

According to the DailyMail, we may be saved as Lancaster's kids have their final exams coming up. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/article-3686072/Stuart-Lancaster-meet-Toulon-owner-head-coach-role-looks-return-rugby-following-difficult-England-spell.html

Interesting that Gunn is picked instead of Leroy? While I have no doubt it's a experience exercise and that Curtis is being given a last send off, just feels a bit odd.

What? Absolutely no way. I lost count how many half arsed attempts at tackling I witnessed this year by CFS. By in large, most games CFS has looked completely disinterested in being out there on the field.

    Eddie Jones - The Coach

Looks like Eddie still needs the Aussie support network by hanging out the Aussie team; Orica-BikeExchange. I wonder if he's mates with Gerry Ryan?

    Richie McCaw Movie

Are we finally seeing the ego of Richie come out? Not many 'greatest' athlete's ever have their own movie out so soon after they retire nor do they 'star' in it? With only finishing his career mere months ago why didn't they go down the Documentary route that ESPN routinely use for their 30...

Reds vs Chiefs, Fri 8th July, Suncorp Stadium

Looking at the general number of caps the chiefs players have, I'm surprised at how low it appears. Just from a glance, most players only seem to have been around for 2/3 seasons at this level?

Honestly, there are a lot of similarities between Browning right now and Houston back when he left. Loads of potential, but only glimpses of that being shown. Who knows, perhaps an overseas year or two away will allow Curtis to further develop his skills especially his running game.

Playing devils advocate here. If Australian coaches outside of the HC role have been so great, why have we time and time again seen players rise through the system with fundamental skills being non-existent? Why did we spend the better part of a decade with a scrum that was a laughing stock...

Jesus are they serious? Qld and the Force are in the shitter, when that happens you can't be picky on turning down quality candidates! I do wonder those who are doing this 'talking' have the same views on the 'illegal boaties' coming to Australia to take all of our jobs.......

Brumbies vs Reds, Friday 1st of July, GIO Stadium Canberra

Yikes, how many players in this match have some way or another had some kind of development in Qld for rugby?

Brumbies vs Reds, Friday 1st of July, GIO Stadium Canberra

Who's to say Leroy hasn't 'earnt' the starting spot through training? With around a month off, form has pretty gone out the window for most players, so whoever looks better at training is what the coaches should go off.

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

Is there any innate difference between place kicking between Union and League? If I remember correctly there's some difference between the shapes of the balls, but would that have a massive impact? Anyway, I raise this because constantly I see guys like Thurston etc being able to consistently...
