    Wallabies v Barbarians - 1/11/14 (Twickenham)

It would be great if Timani continues his form on from the NRC. But I think it is crazy talk to consider him for the Wallabies on the basis of his NRC form. The Rebels have been a dominant side. There is a big difference between looking good and working hard in a dominant side and what he would...

    Wallabies v Barbarians - 1/11/14 (Twickenham)

Like it all except- Gill in for Schatz and no Mann-Rea if it can be helped. Fainga'a and Hanson still have a future with the Wallabies. Mann-Rea is old and would be about 8th in line if we had no injuries. There is no point taking him on tour.

    Wallabies v Barbarians - 1/11/14 (Twickenham)

We play six games in six weeks and not long after the RC finished. The player workloads will have to be managed. Godwin and Luke Jones are excellent players who deserve a chance (or another chance in Jones' case) to show what they are capable of. We don't really have a back up 12 to To'omua (I...

    Wallabies v Barbarians - 1/11/14 (Twickenham)

Who would we love to see in for the Wallabies in this one? For mine: Definitely would love to see: Godwin, Luke Jones. Maybe: PAE, Tom English, Kerevi. Would love to see Hodgson get a start and I think Hooper needs a rest. Maybe also Auelua? Has Tala Grey been good enough to get a chance? Or...

    The Wallaby 12 Conundrum

    Quid row row, Mr Powers.

    Wallaby Captaincy

Horwill is a sour puss. Hodgson would be a better captain, but the chances of him starting are 0 while Hooper is fit. Slipper has earnt a shot at it for the EOYT at least. To'omua, Higgers, Fardy and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) definitely worthy of consideration.

    The Wallaby 12 Conundrum

Is it just me or does anyone else think that Lealiifano's "I've lost a mother" about Di Patston is another way of saying "Ewen, I'd really like to play for the Wallabies this weekend". Lealiifano's a bad decision. He is down on form. Horne or Godwin at 12 would have been far better.

    Rugby Championship 2015

? We have it easy. South Africa and NZ at home and Argentina away. We should be aiming at 3/3.

I'll have whatever you are smoking.

    Kurtley Beale

Especially not a player who isn't even in the starting XV.

    Wallabies v All Blacks @ Suncorp - 18/10/14

Okay. New direction. Last year we had a bit of joy with a few new selection options and a few exciting players brought in. Should we take the same approach again? Here are some posers: - Too soon to bring Quade back? - Do we risk further injury to Speight if he comes into the XV? - Can we...

    RWC 2015

Purely from what I have seen, I think the Brumbies scrum is far superior to the Rebels scrum. The Brumbies were the only scrum to really trouble the Force's in 2014 and it performed very well in other games I saw. Scrums are a funny thing and you can't rely on statistics to paint a picture of...

2015 IRB Junior Rugby World Cup - Italy

Its backwards. They have obvious gone 1-15 somewhere and 15-1 somewhere else e.g. The Front row are originally listed as Easts (1), Randwick (2), Gordon (3) while the 13, 14, 15 are originally listed as Parra (15), Gordon (14) and Wests (13). In actual fact the Front row are Parra, Gordon and...

    RWC 2015

I didn't think you did. Assuming the commentators and media, etc get it right you don't repeat the vowel sound in his surname. It is a "too" sound like the "moo" a cow makes (too-moo-ah). If there was the apostrophe, wouldn't it be a "toe" sound with another "oh" sound (toe-o-moo-ah)?

    Kurtley Beale

I never thought I would ever say this, but we need Phil Waugh. He doesn't take shit from dickheads and isn't afraid to put them in their place. Had James O'Connor sussed sooner than most.

    Kurtley Beale

I am starting to have my doubts about Link, but if you are the playing group and you lose respect/trust in your coach, to have enough credibility not to sound like a pack of whingers you have better play with a healthy dose of courage and heart and not like a pack of dickheads (see Mendoza). The...

    Japanese Super Rugby Team

I think Top League starts after Super Rugby and only overlaps for teams that make the finals. I don't get the whole club vs country thing. Surely it has to be in the club's best interest to see a strong, successful national team. Success and the media coverage it brings is a great way to attract...

    Waratahs 2015

What about Sam Windsor from NSW Country? Hey what ever happened to Sam Lane. Last I remember he took a year out to get his body right. Has he retired or is there a chance of a come back?

    Japanese Super Rugby Team

Thanks for the heads up. I wasn't sure if he would continue on in that role. Given that the Super Rugby team would be a big developmental pathway to national honours, I reckon Eddie would have a lot of input.
