Does anyone have any idea when Horne will be back? I really haven't seen much of him myself (apart from a brief stint in some Test last year?) but the wraps on him are huge. I'd really really love to see him fit and doing his thing properly.

Comments on the extended version: Christ Karl Stefanovic is awkward. Gillard looks like she's trying to be sultry instead of tough, which is more disturbing than I can put into words. The Gruz is looking incredible. Should've had Pocock absolutely destroying Burger somewhere in there. Overall...

I dunno, I see it a bit differently. I think Beau should start, as we need to set an aggressive, abrasive tone right from the outside. It'll be an arm wrestle for early forward dominance. Then in the late stages of the second half bring Gill on to nab turnovers from a tiring pack.

No, a 5/2 split can be willingly used to create a whole new playing approach and dynamic. Deans probably won't use Giteau in such a role, but I think it has merit and is definitely worth discussing.

Sums it up perfectly. For the sake of the Reds chances, I'm glad the Blues got up (I really didn't like the idea of meeting the Tahs in a semi...) but if the Reds were knocked out and the Tahs remained I'd be supporting them with everything I had.

Didn't get to watch it unfortunately, but was able to listen to the live audio stream on ABC. The Kiwi commentators were pretty even and fair, though there are a couple of ex-player dunces who invariably fluff everything they say. By the sounds of it, the Blues should have put a whole lot more...
