    Bledisloe IV 2010 Hong Kong

To be fair, he missed with one throw, spot on with another, and threw himself at the rucks. That enthusiasm (from a lot of players) was what kept us alive in the last few minutes.

Good on em - I'd forgotten the Race to the Roof was on at RBH today.

2010 Wallabies End of Year Tour (EOYT)

Giteau can't shuffle off for Barnes just yet. The side would miss Giteau's ineffable contribution to team harmony in those rousing discussions he has with Rocky at key moments (ie when everything is going off the rails). Let alone the 'giteau_rugby' twitter updates on The Quade Trains'...

    He was too old.

2010 Wallabies End of Year Tour (EOYT)

Humphries had a good Super 14, and will be a handy midweeker and Sharpe backup. Don't see the other locks managing that - as in filling that role - and I maybe would have left Mumm behind to take Douglas. Slipper is a very promising youngster who has had a series of opportunities to scrummage...

2010 Wallabies End of Year Tour (EOYT)

Giteau has been given a pretty solid trial over the last 8 years. I don't know if he can still be called young and inexperienced, but I agree that he may not be up to the role in the RWC! I'm sure he could help us give Russia a toweling in group C, though.

    Wallabies v All Blacks Sydney

When we started hearing that ridiculous 'daylight' request from Lawrence pointedly and repeatedly to Pocock (I would have loved Rocky, for all that it wouldn't have helped, reminding him it was a f$%^ing night game), I started to wonder if there was a direction to Lawrence to enforce this...

    Wallabies v All Blacks Sydney

They'll figure it out. Be nice if Elsom could lead them there, but the guy isn't exactly rousing. They need something to make them hungry - it certainly doesn't flow from their well-paid existence - and hopefully having the ABs rub their nose in manure repeatedly will give them extra...

    Wallabies vs Boks Bloemfontein

Apparently Giteau was the difference between the two teams (9/10) and they have trouble differentiating Beale and Genia. Gits did have a pretty good game, though. Interesting to see Cooper very effective running at 2nd receiver at times outside Giteau.

    Wallabies vs Boks Bloemfontein

Can't be unhappy conceding 40 points a game in SA and still getting a win from 2 and a trophy. But we're not gonna take too many trophies from the kiwis leaking that many points.

    Wallabies vs Boks Bloemfontein

Slipper does pretty well for a youngster 'not of international standard'. Unfortunately Saia Fainga'a did nothing to prove Dwyer wrong.

Why aren't the Wallabies playing (and winning) like the Crusaders?

And I thought it was Emmett 'Doc' Brown from Back to the Future.

Wallabies V Boks Loftus Versfeld Pretoria 28/08/2010

In that case, I put the case for Van Humphries. Sure, he's injured, but he only has to make a couple of tackles. And he will really liven up the motivational discussions.

    Quade Cooper going to NRL?

He's not the Messiah. He's a very naughty boy! A line better kept for Cooper.......

    Quade Cooper going to NRL?

You could argue site foreman, or architect, vs bricklayer?

    Quade Cooper going to NRL?

Cooper has started more tests than TPN already, was man of the match against England and when he isn't there, the wallaby back line looked like they had yet to be introduced. More to the point, TPN is not unsigned and getting big offers from league. If the ARU are setting top-up figures on...

    Quade Cooper going to NRL?

Its all semantics, but good, held up his part, great are going to mean different things to different people. Or the same people, in my case.

    Quade Cooper going to NRL?

Only going back to the relatively recent past - latham, mortlock, larkham, gregan, tune in their prime were great. Giteau in my head is the guy who didn't ever quite be as good as I thought he could be. And isn't in that company. The wallabies back line without Cooper is not up to scratch. That...

    wallabies definitly in starting side?

He has to have something positive to pass to - its not just about when the ball becomes available. Though to some extent I guess 9 has to step up and organise, if the forwards and 10 can't manage it themselves. Edit: I mean Genia (and Burgess) are usually standing there, looking at them, ball...
