    Reds v Waratahs, rd2 SR2013

For a professional his pass was woeful, there were too many times Tahs players needed to check their run to even receive the ball. The two kicks he missed ultimately proved the difference, if the Tahs were attacking in the last 5 down by 1 it is entirely different rugby game.

    Reds v Waratahs, rd2 SR2013

I thought that both teams can take some positives: The Reds took all the chances that the Tahs gave them, they were ruthless when they needed to be. And got Quade involved as much as possible which is always a plus. For the Tahs once they got their game going and where accurate they really...

Thats not too far from the house, I'll have to check it out. Cheers

Hougaard and Cruden had poor weeks, regretting bringing Cruden in given he isn't the place kicker. A change may be in order.

Defining the role of a position

It may sound obvious but for a 9 it is that they have a good pass. Its amazing how, in Ireland anyway, we seem to pick 9's for their defence or physical threat around the fringes when they can't actually pass the ball that well. Thomas O'Leary and Conor Murray are two recent examples...

any pub suggestions for somewhere to watch the game tomorrow in the Eastern Suburbs?

Just played my wildcard and have instant regret! I also believe the Izzy hype but 300k is a lot for a guy who hasnt played the game before, cant undo it know I suppose

    RBS 6 Nations 2013

Interesting choice by Lancaster, seems to be picking as big a team as possible. I think the England France game could be a mirror or the Wales France game, two teams boshing into each other all day and kicking for position. I'd fancy France to really attack the scrum and lineout giving them the...

    Reds v Waratahs, rd2 SR2013

big statement about how the Tahs are going to approach this one. Question for the Reds guys, how do you see the Reds approaching this one now given that it looks like the Tahs are going to smash you upfront? Are you confident that once the Tahs bring on a fresh front row will the Reds be able...

Hooper must be held in high regard for such a young man to be made vice captain in his first season at the club

Pretty sure it is getting announced on Rugby HQ tonight, although open to correction on that

    RBS 6 Nations 2013

Its indicitive of DKs reign, injury is usually the only way he'll bring uncapped youngsters into the fray (notable exceptions being Sexton and Murray). Healy, Ross, Ryan, SOB, Zebo and Marshall are among those who owe their selection to injury, form rarely comes into it. If Jackson was in DKs...

    RBS 6 Nations 2013

Jackson is very much an "all round" 10 albeit he is prone to goal kicking wobbles. He has a good break, can bring his backline into play, good range of passing and a decent tactical kicker. He isn't as good a defender as Sexton but holds his own and certainly won't be ran over a la ROG. If he...

    RBS 6 Nations 2013

How do you see the Scottish scrum holding up? Court is in the form of his life, and Ross has done a good job against the Scots in the past. This is an area I think Ireland are really looking to go after given that the Scots haven't looked great in this area in their first 2 games and Murray...

    Reds v Waratahs, rd2 SR2013

If the Tahs can attack the set piece and pressure the Reds half backs I think they have the winning of this one

    RBS 6 Nations 2013

I think it depends which Ireland turn up, the Ireland from the first half of the Wales game which mixed precision, high intensity and discipline or the Ireland from the England games which was flat, sloppy and had a high error count. If its the former Ireland will win by more than a score, if it...

    RBS 6 Nations 2013

I think this is a great call from DK, Court Best and Ross is our strongest scrummaging front row I think we'll have a massive upper hand here over the Scots.

    RBS 6 Nations 2013

Confirmed on Twitter by a number of Irish journos: https://twitter.com/petersuntimes Quote: Peter O'Reilly ‏@petersuntimes Paddy Jackson to start v Scotland, RO'G on bench. Luke Marshall at 12, with Court at loose-head. Kidney stands up for the Ulstermen

    RBS 6 Nations 2013

Court should start but Kilcoyne will and will probably play 80 minutes. After Twickers last year I think Deccie in his mind is blaming Court and will only pick him in an emergency. Would love Henderson to get a run I think he is an awesome player, and has the makings of a 100 cap...

    Lions Tour 2013

Even if you tie tickets to passport numbers etc someone who wants to be at the game will pay a scalper for the ticket and hope they don't get checked (I was in this position at the last soccer Euro Championships so can relate to how people will pay what it takes), unfortunately it is just part...
