Brumbies jumpers have caught 2-3 at their waist. Tahs need to compete in the air.

As a neutral I’m really enjoying this. Not always pretty, but both teams rolling their sleeves up. Brumbies seem to be throwing a fair bit in off the ball. Probably lucky Swinton isn’t playing. He’d have either got carded or his head would’ve exploded by now.

Did Bell just run through Swain & Valetini? That’s no mean feat.

Gee - not sure the ref has for either of those penalties right.

I think Godwin is getting a bad wrap here. From memory, all bar one time he turned in he had little choice or JOC (James O'Connor) would’ve gone through anyway. Certainly on McReights try he seemed to get left stranded and I don’t recall anyone else being in a position to tackle JOC (James O'Connor) on Stewart’s try either...

    Wallabies 2023

I thought JOC (James O'Connor) was good last week too given the lack of ball, and was instrumental in the Reds getting home. Even more so after he revealed the game plan last night. But agree that we need to see him play consistently like he did last night and then take that to test level.

Mate - I do feel your pain. Supporting the Reds over the last 20 years has come with lots of pain with the occasional bright spot. I’ve seen those years where injury killed us and learnt many times that there is an enormous difference between having a decent starting 15 and having a squad that...

Amazed that Wells can be criticised for what he said after the game. Being honest is an issue now? In terms of his on field performance I would think he is the least of your problems. Certainly he appears to be busting his arse and he is generally a smart player and strong defender. Rebels do...

Agree - Paisami adds some punch but is also continuing to mix his game up. Not always perfect but it gives variety to our attack and he’ll continue to improve. Campbell seems to have added 15-20 metres to his kicking game. At least compared to what I remember. This is a bit of a game changer...

I thought Petaia looked good for most of the time he was on a side from the kick out on the full - but in the last 10 minutes or so he was out there he was clearly struggling. Just doesn’t seem to be able to keep his body right, which is a shame. Reminds me a lot of the issues Rob Horne & CFS...

    Reds 2023

Yeah - it’s a bit of a concern, and I don’t think Fotuaika gets through the work around the field to compensate if he isn’t killing it in the scrum.

Yeah - okay, firstly this was going to be a longer post but I had to start my park run. (My only regular exercise each week at the moment). Agree - 100% understandable, but it was very cut and dried. Which I like because it shows a team who has capability to play different game styles to suit...

Interesting to hear JOC (James O'Connor) post game say that the Reds strategy v the Tahs was literally to clear in the second phase.

Love Wright & ASY (Angus Scott-Young), but I speculated before the season if McReight, Wilson & Uru wasn’t our most balanced backrow and they certainly worked well together tonight.

The yellow card to Fotuaika was ironically a turning point in the game. Bought Taniela on, changed the momentum in the scrums and the momentum of penalties.

Watching this I remain confused why JOC (James O'Connor) wouldn’t flatten up for the Wallabies last year. He’s so dangerous attacking the line with runners.

The only bit I don’t understand is that if they were all on the flight and the guys ordered wine with lunch, why didn’t someone say something then and there and nip it in the bud. You’d have to assume that there is a good reason, but that’s the bit that seems a bit weird to me. Maybe Winchester...
