Round 4: Rebels vs Brumbies 11 March 7.45pm AAMI Park

He has his skills, certainly, but his passing game is about as far as it goes at present. Didn't take on the line, nor put in any successful tactical kicks. Has a monster boot though.

Round 4: Rebels vs Brumbies 11 March 7.45pm AAMI Park

Nah, tried to pick the ball up and had it knocked from his grasp by Reimer. In truth, almost a try to Reimer - would have been if his hand was still in contact with the ball when it touched the ground.

    Brumbies 2022

Hey KOB, here's our chance to see Hooper in action in the second row. Starting there tomorrow night against the Rebels. Recommend you have a look. Will be an interesting match up with Canham who had an impressive debut for the Rebels last week.

Round 4: Rebels vs Brumbies 11 March 7.45pm AAMI Park

Despite apparently little interest in the game, this match is of real importance to both teams. From a Rebels POV it is important they turn up and put in a full effort in order to stop the waning of support among their fans which is obvious from posts on GAGR every day lately. They need to give...

Drua v Rebels @ Sunshine Coast Stadium 7.45pm AEDT, Friday 04/03

I don't think it's right to suggest the NRC failed. More like the COVID pandemic or other considerations (Sydney centric bias against it?) caused it to be put aside. The ARC failed, but I understand the NRC was not such a drain on RA nor the teams involved.

Drua v Rebels @ Sunshine Coast Stadium 7.45pm AEDT, Friday 04/03

Yeah, the ARC was the real culprit. The NRC was essentially self funding. It is wrong to place the AR's financial woes at the foot of the NRC.

Australian Super Rugby Team of the Week 2022

Flook and Muirhead were the picks imo. It is true that there are few outstanding wingers going around at present. Tony Pulu looks good with ball in hand but has some terrible defensive lapses. And Mataele had a shocker last game - dropped more ball in one game than you'd want to see in a season...

    Reds 2022

Which one Adam? FF (Folau Fainga'a) is over-rated and has poor discipline, LL is too young and too small to be effective, McInerney is just club standard, and Pollard is years away from realising his potential. Must be some better hookers in Hospital Cup, surely? EDIT : very bad news for Alex. Hoping...

Australian Super Rugby Team of the Week 2022

Unsure of what game those posters who nominated Tom Wright watched on the weekend. Tom was poor by his standards and by the general standard required of Super players. He botched at least two tries and was replaced immediately by McKellar after his second poor effort. He will be better, but...

And anybody who ignores the defensive efforts by Banks is just looking for highlight reel moments and ignoring the "meat and potatoes" Wamb. Banks was instrumental in stopping at least two tries and almost denied Harris with his covering tackle. Without those efforts, the Tahs win. Campbell is...

Australian Super Rugby Team of the Week 2022

Far from what happens in practice I think KOB. I agree that fans watch their own team players closer than others, but the number of Tahs and Reds fans on the site contributing to the TOTW by far outnumbering those from ACT, Vic or WA will always result in bias towards their selections...

Super Rugby Rd 3: Brumbies v Waratahs in Canberra

Not that I accept any of your Brother's from Wagga prognostications, nor Pfitzy's, about the scrums, it is clear that the Tahs are well and truly competitive with any of the Aus teams. The test for all of us will be when the trans Tasman section starts in a couple of weeks. Perese versus Ikita...

    My point exactly, KOB.

Won't shoot you down KOB but I thought Donaldson was very hot and cold. I preferred JOC (James O'Connor) this week, but each to his own.

Australian Super Rugby Team of the Week 2022

    1. Slipper - pips Bell for a stronger scrum when both on the ground and greater workload 2. Kaitu'u - tight with FF (Folau Fainga'a) who had a much better game this week 3. Tupou - his scrummaging won the game for the Reds 4. FLW (Fergus Lee-Warner) - immense workload 5. Frost - excellent lineout and maul skills; score a meat pie...

Super Rugby Rd 3: Brumbies v Waratahs in Canberra

Gamble looks better with every game. Had some impressive moments in last night's game. Not sure about Tizzano getting more game time in Perth. Kane Koteka is going just fine imo. Rebels could do with some extra fire power I guess. Have to say I haven't really noticed Hooper's absence at the Tahs...

Super Rugby Rd 3: Brumbies v Waratahs in Canberra

Harris is much improved this year and Wilson is back to his best, but really they are both competing for the 6 and 8 spots where Leota and Valetini were best last year and are the incumbents. Samu gets the nod for a bench spot probably because he can play all three back row positions.

I still rate him the poorest of any of the Aus refs, just behind Murphy. Neither are consistent, good or bad. Despite Pfitzy's protestations, though, I reckon he did get most of the scrums right. The Tahs pack was wheeling around their LH side on most occasions.

Fuck, those Brumbies never get the script right, eh Pfitzy.
