    NSW AAGPS 2018

Nothing wrong with being on the soapbox if what you are saying is correct. I'll throw in the constant blaming of referees, when it's usually the players who make more errors. I was watching a 14E match on the weekend and the behaviour of sections of the Knox supporters (which unsurprisingly...

And in breaking news, no games at Tempe:):):)

Newington are bringing out the master coach for the last round. :)

    NSW AAGPS 2018

My understanding of the AAGPS "process" is that players are suspended by their own school after a send-off. i.e. the player appears before his own Headmaster or delegate and that's where the case is decided. Assume that citing would be the same? I'm aware of events in the past where schools...

    NSW AAGPS 2018

Two fantastic games and I'm hoping that Newington can string two good performances together to finish the season on a high.

    Concussions and Protecting Our Players

And more: Head injuries in soccer may result from two possible mechanisms (5, 19). As in other contact sports, head injuries mostly result from unintentional hits with the head and hits to the head from different body parts of players (head to head, elbow to head), hitting the head against the...

    Concussions and Protecting Our Players

I suspect a very under-reported problem Runner. As neuropsychologist Dr. Jeffery Barth pointed out, “We sometimes speak in very broad strokes about the problems of soccer heading and that it may be causing significant neurologic problems, but it may not be the heading that is doing this. It...

    Bledisloe 1 - Saturday 18 August 2018 - ANZ Stadium, Sydney

Hopefully the answer is leading the Wallabies to Blesidloe and RWC glory.

    NSW AAGPS 2018

Newington and Riverview both seem to have had very inconsistent performances in 2018. I watched Newington v Riverview and Newington v Kings in successive weeks and the difference in performance (by Newington)was astounding. No doubt Kings were affected by the tough game against Joeys the...

    NSW AAGPS 2018

Don't underestimate Riverview this week. They were very good against Newington a week ago, and that form looks good when one looks at how Newington performed against Joeys and Kings either side of the Riverview game. There any many permutations on how the table will look next Sunday - it's...

    NSW AAGPS 2018

Because other than the Waverley trial(combined with High), none of the other trials provided anything approaching a GPS on GPS day (noting that two of the Newington trials were against Scots and Riverview anyway). Not enough teams, too many mismatches etc.

    NSW AAGPS 2018

A tantalising last week of matches. Riverview v Joeys Kings v Scots Newington v Shore Dare I say it, but why don't we have 2 rounds home and away and reduce the trials?
  13. Quick Hands

    NSW AAGPS 2018

Thanks B&W. Shore will be difficult - particularly in those lower age groups where they can flood the breakdown with their quick, small forwards and either steal or slow down opposition ball. The 1sts backline today was as good as I've ever seen from a Newington 1sts backline. As I said in...

Joeys are never dead on a rugby field - ever.
  15. Quick Hands

    NSW AAGPS 2018

Also a very dodgy Joeys victory 8-3 in 1979 (only game Joeys won that year - 1st and only wooden spoon). IS could attest to this, but has sadly left G&GR
