    Wallaby Watch 2014

I disagree re Higgers form. He is obviously playing a certain role for the Rebels, as he would for the Wallabies. I've watched his play very closely over the first 8 rounds. He plays wide of the ruck, links with the backline, doesn't get too involved in chasing the breakdown. Personally I...

    Wallaby Watch 2014

I think Link should be looking to manage Palu's work load over in test rugby this year. Perhaps play every 2nd game. I'd really like to see him around for the world cup.

    Wallaby Watch 2014

No way Jones should displace Simmons. Simmons is one of the hardest working forwards for the reds and he was one of the better forwards on the end of year tour. Also he's very strong in the line-out, especially defensively.

    Wallaby Watch 2014

I pretty much agree with your selections, save for tighthead. I think Kepu has established himself as Links go to Tighthead

    Wallaby Watch 2014

Patty Ryan should not be in the test frame. From what I've observed he's a weak scrummager. He hasn't even been able to take advantage of the heavy pack behind him. As much as a loath Alexander, he is stronger in the scrum than Ryan. I'm hoping we see Palmer return next year as Tighthead is...

    Force v Tahs, round 9 2014

Really looking forward to this game. too close to call. Happy to see both teams doing so well this season. Us Reds fans know what its like to have our moment in the sun so it's nice to see the Force having such a great season. I'd like to see the Force win, They seem to be having one of...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

    My backline would probably be:- 10. Cooper 11. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 12. To'omua 13. Kuridrani 14. Speight 15. Folau 22.McCabe 23.JOC (James O'Connor) Beale first backup

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Can't agree. The quality of our tight 5 will determine how we fair at the WC. So ensuring we have quality depth at 1,2,3,4 and 5 should be our biggest focus. We are flush with decent wingers. Tomane and Cummins have both looked at home at test level (I wouldn't write off Cummins because of...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

yeh choosing the bench by the time we reach the world cup will be tough. Assuming the likes of Folau/To'omua/Kuridrani/AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)/Cooper keep their positions, and either Speight or Cummins are in the side, we'll have the likes of Beale, McCabe, Lilo, O'Connor, Cummins all fighting for one or two places...

    Stormers v Tahs, round 8 2014

the importance of this win shouldn't be underestimated by you tahs fans. Super championships are built on impressive away wins. It was the Reds' win over the Stormers in 2011 that gave them the momentum and the belief to go on to win the comp.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

i agree speight looks like our best winger atm by some way. cant wait to see us unleash Speight/Folau in the same backline. I must say iv been really impressed with McCabe this season. I would be surprised if he wasn't in the wobs squad in june. He's a pretty handy sub

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Higgers seems to be playing very wide of the ruck at the moment. he's not as heavily involved in the breakdown as he was before injury last year. But that's certainly by design. I think that is why some people arent sold on him atm. Good battle between Palu/Higgers/McCalman at the moment.

    Stormers v Tahs, round 8 2014

I wasn't suggesting we should start him and play him for 80 minutes. I agree that would be beyond him at test level. He is a work in progress. But i do think he should be in the squad for development purposes. Arguably he's already shown more upside than Timani, who proved to be a handy bench...

    Stormers v Tahs, round 8 2014

i got up early to watch this game. A fine win by the tahs! I was really impressed with the Physicality of the Tahs pack, something I'm hoping we can bring to the Wobs later this year. Douglas and Skelton werev very good. Skelton should be in the Wobs squad this year if he continues this form...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

If he really wanted to return to rugby and maximise his include, he could play in Europe later this year and then return for the Super season in 2015. that would probably be best case scenario for wob fans.

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

Yes I've noticed some of the league commentators are talking about this. The speed of the game means you probably dont want to many big boppers on the field at once. With that said the Bulldogs forward pack have been playing great, they already have plenty of big props and they were happy to...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

I've got my fingers crossed that a Super team signs him for next year. We'll take him at the Reds. Its pretty obvious that Pulver has rightfully tightened the purse strings so it would be a modest offer, but I still think there is a 25-30% chance of him signing with the ARU. He's boxed himself...

I thought Will outplayed Nic White this week. no doubt.

    Reds v Stormers Rd 7 2014

I agree. pretty good effort .we just appeared to be lacking some fire power in the outside backs, surely expected due to injuries. Genia was exceptional. Good stuff from the forwards generally. Robinson did a nice job filling in for Gill; he got through a lot of work. I thought Browning injected...
