Is Link's calculated approach hindering Coopers development?

I dunno, he seems to avoid getting caught up in the breakdown at all costs. I don't know whether it's ticker or his perception of how he is best off making an impact. I think the problem is as much as anything technique. Sometimes he falls off after first contact as he yanks at the ball and/or...

    Crusaders at Twickers?

Woeful road trip for one game - won't happen. Best bet would be a SA side but don't they line up their games on tour to Aus/NZ?

    Wallabies world cup squad selection

Thats a little harsh on Burgess. He has had his faults, and his strengths. There are still periods when his hyperactivity and snap crazy decisions make you wonder exactly how his brain is wired, and sometimes it seems his hands are paddles. That has been minimal this season and both his passing...

    Brumbies 2011

Interesting article from Wayne Smith in the Australian: Of course, he would have to say that when asked. Smith does point out that they did score 4 tries against the reds. I wonder if AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) would be less subdued (and McCabe more so) with someone else at 10? I did like this line:

    Waratahs 2011

I love that these guys keep putting their hand up to play, injuries be damned. I hate that Hickey plays them.

    Wallabies world cup squad selection

Agreed to a point, but... We weren't that good. We came second in a three horse race, got smacked repeatedly by the ABs until a dead rubber in HK, and were (at best) unconvincing on the EOYT until the frogs.

    Wallabies world cup squad selection

Are we back to the second messiah - Higgenbotham - again already?:o Seriously, IMO on form Tom Carter is first choice, but my understanding is that our backline needs a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and probably a 4th 5/8. ok, that last bit is not serious so much as sarcastic.

    Brumbies v Reds MOM

I'm surprised you're surprised! Genia was urgent to the breakdown and delivered the ball immediately. Runners are still struggling to position themselves, but were better. His kicking was pretty good and his decision making as 9 and captain I thought was spot on for the situation. Made tackles...

    The Konze's Rules

I'd be worried that it would amplify the effect of some of the idiosyncrasies we see from officials in each game. Especially in the scrum lottery.

Brumbies vs Reds, week 3 2011

The Brumbies gave away penalties at regular intervals, and Genia/Cooper took points at every opportunity by choice. It was a very focussed and effective game plan, and Cooper showed he can do it both ways in attack. I hope they can build to more though....

Brumbies vs Reds, week 3 2011

Yeah it was a nice little cameo for Gill. Higgers needs angry pills, when he plays with purpose or even venom he starts to impress. Hope so!

Brumbies vs Reds, week 3 2011

Reds scrum held up better than expected till Slipper went off (see him icing that left knee on the sideline). Thought Daley actually had a solid all round game. Holmes is not comfortable at Tighthead, sadly.

Brumbies vs Reds, week 3 2011

Presume Justin Harrison is in charge of cynical infringements. Pretty funny flashing to the ponies coaches box and seeing the five of them, and then seeing Link. What a fuck up.

    OK, who's injured?

After watching that performance I think I've underestimated the value Barnes brings to this side. Not having him at 10 cost the Tahs bigtime defence and attack. I think his composure - esp defending - would have made that a tight, winnable game for the Tahs, which is what we were expecting...

    Cipriani Nightclub Investigation

Crikey. You could not make that up. Unless that was an interview-by-text, quoted in the fully sic fashion? Nah that is amazing. Amazingly bad, that is.
