    Shute Shield 2012

Thanks Andrew and although it's often a frustrating and sometimes thankless task, all clubs should be promoting representative opportunities for their players. One thing is certain, some players will let you down, but you owe it to the next one to get behind them and give them a chance. Seeing...

    Shute Shield 2012

Bruce, perhaps Andrew is confusing 'contracted to' with registration. I imagine players are registered with clubs such as Sydney Uni so they can play in the competition and be covered for insurances etc. This also allows clubs some control over the granting of clearances for players to swap...

    Shute Shield 2012

My earlier comments were aimed at ALL clubs who treated the Sydney-Country game with a lack of respect by either directing or encouraging their players not to participate. Sydney Uni stand out because of the noticeable absence of their players AND prior form....on this I am not ill informed...

    Shute Shield 2012

Agree with both Andrew B Cox and HJ. Shame on Sydney Uni or any club who doesn't support such fixtures. Shouldn't the order of a player's motivation be from Club to Sydney/Country to Region to Country? The simple solution should be for the Sydney & Country selectors to choose who they want in...

    Waratahs 2013

Tom Carter has to go. He's too slow and has been caught out far too often when it matters. You cannot hide defensively in the centres and teams will target him to pieces. He's been a loyal servant but unlike a good bottle of Red, he will not get better with age. You're taking the P to put up...

    Waratahs 2013

Yep, why not go for a 4 yr trial with Barnes.......Tilse has been there 8 years and still seems to be on trial. Good judges can make a decision on a player after seeing 2-3 games, not 4 to 8 years worth.

What is wrong with the Tahs

No need for post match interviews with Foley. Just change the date and opposition on last week's match, and the one before, and t..... Reminds me a little of Steve Martin in LA Story where he played a TV weather man who pre-recorded his forecast and went away for the weekend. Rugby scribes...

    CAS Rugby 2012

Agree that Marais can play and is an excellent athletic jumper. CAS !st's Centres are ordinary, but that won't be a problem in attack with the back 3 selected.

    CAS Rugby 2012

That's irrelevant. Hopefully selectors pick the best possible teams. They aren't building for a World Cup in the coming years.

What is wrong with the Tahs

Winning at this level requires risk taking, refusal to accept excuses, courage of your convictions, unity of purpose, drive and passion. Even putting the players aside for the moment, does anyone see these qualities evident in the Waratah's organisation? Or do you witness, like so many observers...

I think you mean on the bench but I take your point.

    Wallabies vs Scotland - 5 June 2012

Great news in that Slipper has been picked in his correct position of Loose Head. Watch the rest of his game now lift.
  13. It is what it is

    Waratahs 2013

When is the last time anyone has seen Barnes play well for NSW in any position? For mine, play well means; - Outplays his opponent - Has a meaningful influence on the outcome of the game - Lifted the performance of those around him - Performs at or above expectations

What is wrong with the Tahs

Can I suggest the purchase of a high pressure gurney from Bunnings to assist in the clean out of Waratah HQ. Any truth to the rumour that Allen's idea of running a Clipsal style V8 Car Race at half time was only cancelled due to surface water last night? Only Salman Rushdie, The Jackal, and...

    Waratahs 2013

100% Agree and have thought this for some time. Bernard Foley is a 10 not a 15, Barnes is not a 10, Halangahu is not a footballer. Grow some nuts at the Waratahs and start setting up 2013 NOW. Otherwise what purpose do the remaining games serve?

    Thank you Captain Siro

    Wallabies team name

You can use "as it stands" BUT "it's what it is" is a trademark infringement!!!!

    CAS Rugby 2012

Yes Barker do have a strong scrum, line out and rolling maul and plenty of size about them. Smart teams will tap quick taps and run them around, drill the blindside to suck their forwards in (including their flanker who is permanently positioned in the centres in defence) and exploit Barker's...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

Slater also catches the ball on the full from kicks more than any other fullback..... This is despite teams kicking away from him and sometimes kicking the ball dead to avoid him returning it. Have a think about what he's have to beat in Rugby once you go past Beale. Halangahu.....swap him in...
