    Sydney Colts 2012

Spot on E&E (where are your ears by the way?). The week off from finishing 1st or 2nd is a huge advantage after a long season. They build and taper well and have benches that would start for most/all other clubs.
  2. It is what it is

    Wallabies versus Wales- SFS

Agree that they both defend well and as long as we have Genia, Ioane, Beale and/or O'Connor to drive the attack it's a well balanced backline. Barnes is just keeping the 10 spot warm for someone else, but will be OK against Wales.

    Our "JFK" Moment

The Phantom's punch against Wales, when our forwards (or at least one of them) stood up and said 'enough is enough'
  4. It is what it is

NSW Schools - Trial Games and Selections 2012

Yes, they have played Shute Shield matches there at night under lights.

    IS OUR GAME GROWING?

Like others, I wish the ARU could communicate what success looks like for our game at various levels. Growth needs to measured by quality as well as quantity. As an example, Starbucks grew rapidly and then closed thousands of store, so growth for growth sake doesn't cut it for me. Nature also...

That's why the world is a beautiful place...people have different opinions. Let me state again that I hope he does do the hard work and realises his potential. He's not a tall guy so he'll need to get the weight/strength/mobility ratios right going forward. As these guys play higher level...

    Western Force 2013

I wish the Force well and hope SNK plays great for them. Looking back after watching SNK closely at the Waratahs, I don't think I've ever seen a player with the instinct to kick when he should run, and run when he should kick like he has.
  8. It is what it is

NSW Schools - Trial Games and Selections 2012

Hear ya, but we need all positions to be able to play rugby, not just their position. I hope he does the work and kicks on, but as Palmer is finding out at the Wallabies, scrummaging just isn't enough. Johnson had a crack all day, with more hit ups than anyone. I just wish he was 15-20cms taller...

NSW Schools - Trial Games and Selections 2012

Newbie Agree with most of your report but the CAS prop Satiu was a liability. He walks around the field too often, is a target for attacking runners because of his lack of mobility and poor lateral footspeed. Golden rule is that if a player looks fat, they are and he needs some serious...

    Wallabies versus Wales- SFS

    Too good
  11. It is what it is

    Western Force 2013

Call him SNK, Sam, Sammy or the Knightster, it will not matter cause he just cannot play. Same for DH, Dave, Davo or Harves, he is way out of his depth too. With the high turnover of players at the Force, these 2 might prove useful doing airport pick ups and drop offs.

    Wallabies versus Wales- SFS

You practice law like My Cousin Vinny, but this is a Kangaroo court.
  13. It is what it is

    Waratahs - Positivity thread

The Waratahs could save money in 2013 by using Tom Carter as Tah Man.
  14. It is what it is

    CAS Rugby 2012

GPS II's won 36-25 according to the other thread.
  15. It is what it is

NSW Schools - Trial Games and Selections 2012

Yes GPS 35 (7 tries no goals) def CAS 12 (2 tries and 1 conversion..Wileman & Paterson both scored tries) GPS Goal kicking was atrocious and score was restricted as a result. GPS No's 10 & 15 shared the kicking duties and most of the kicks went nowhere near the posts. Good start to CAS with 75...

I am undecided on Timani too. Successful coaches agree that no player can be too big, too fast or too strong so perhaps that is why Deans is giving this big strong guy every chance.

ARU - Taskforce designed to reform Brisbane and Sydney Premier Rugby

I like your thinking and you and West Harbour should be congratulated for your responsible management. I'm just struggling to see how another competition can be established, if it is not self funding and relies on hand outs. This not aimed at you, it's a challenge for the game and all of us.

    CAS Rugby 2012

Not entering into this debate but again I have a concern for Clark. Who is advising him to play when the injury requires surgery AND affects his performance? Somebody, anybody, step in and help the kid make some smart decisions. There is life after schoolboy rugby and he should be told that once...
