Harrison to halfback reminds me of talk of giteau playing halfback. I think giteau played there a bit at club possibly, I don’t recall him playing there at Super Rugby level.
Turner is a better rugby player, pietsch has been playing in the 7s a lot, so he’s assured in his decision making. Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) is probably a better athlete, just needs an outlet to get his skills/decision making up to speed. I think you’re right with the 7s, get him with his hands on the ball...
Of course, he is a talent. All three options have factors they could improve. He’s behind the other 2 in terms of experience at present in my opinion. That could easily change. Competition for spots is a good thing.
Without a doubt it’s a highly contested role with the Tahs, which is a good place to be. Coleman is spoiled for choice and the competition for spots will hopefully drive all three to play better rugby. I think it’s a bit harsh to talk about dropping Donaldson after one substandard game. I also...
Compared to a couple of dud options (that I’ll imagine he’d know he screwed up) in terrible conditions in one game? I’m not saying he’s a lock at 10, we have 3 promising 10s at present, none of which are the finished product. I like the idea of a tandem of Harrison and Donaldson at 10/15 when...
I liked Wells when he was a Tah. So consistent with his game and role. It doesn’t matter if he’s in a gun side or a dud one, he always plays his game. Nice touch to give the kid his headgear, shows his class.
One person on here would have likened it to Hitler in footy boots.
I could be wrong but he appeared to be playing to a game plan; cut it out wide for the outside back to then look inside to Perese, trying to give him some space against a less set defensive line. Like I’m sure Coleman would’ve...
It was probably a blessing in disguise as I’m a postie and had been out delivering in this weather Tuesday through Friday. So to not be soaked through again was a bonus. Awesome luck with the tickets, glad it worked out for you.
It was an opportunity lost for the Tahs. Some naive decision making, a few missed penalties and sloppy execution really hurt us. These things will be worked on, so not all doom and gloom. Someone in the commentary after the game said the reds have been together for a few years longer than the...
Didn’t get close enough to figure out what the problem was. Staffing and an old fashioned ticketing system would be my guess. I don’t doubt it is a good place to watch, just have to get there more than 5 minutes before kick off to see much of the first half. I did enjoy the game on tv in the...
As an aside to all this witty reparte; Went out last minute to watch the game, Game kicks off, there’s a hundred people waiting in line for tickets, about the same waiting to enter. 10 minutes later, neither line had moved, with the exception of people (me) giving up and going home to watch on...
