Wales v Australia, Sunday 21st 4.30 am ADST.

It is dragging on, but some good analysis there. Poor technique by Valetini in that situation, growing up I was taught to tackle with either shoulder to protect my head. There are instances where you get wrong footed and get your head in the way, but that wasn’t the case in that circumstance...

I’m talking deliberate, borderline illegal foul play. A team and it’s fans should suffer if someone is blatantly sticking fingers in eyes, punching people, shoving a ref, kicking someone in the head, that sort of thing. To me that’s pretty clear. If it has to be looked at more than once, it’s...

I said on another page here that I’d like to see the 20 minute red for that situation and a full red (no replacement) for absolute no-no’s; gouging, biting, aggression towards official, etc.

    Thanks. Will look for it.

Northern Tours 2021 - NZ, SA, etc

I stand corrected. They just varied those colours with a stripe here, lines there. I’m only going back to Jean Pierre Rive adidas days, but for those days they changed quite a bit. Especially consIdering every other national team bar the wallabies wore a plain jersey with a badge. I always liked...

    Waratahs 2022

Could be. It seems a few Rebels kept playing the Brisbane comp. Did the WA and ACT comps continue? Might be why our first hit out is against Two Blues, WH.

Northern Tours 2021 - NZ, SA, etc

All Blacks seem to be slipping into wallabies mode a little where a few players are weapons, everyone else is there to get them the ball. When the opposition figures out who does what and apply pressure cohesion is lost. You’re a bigger threat when 1-15 are all threats, rather than 8, 10, 13-15...

Northern Tours 2021 - NZ, SA, etc

Obviously the alternate for alternates sake jerseys are merely a cash grab to get fans to buy variations of the same teams shirt. Most teams are held back by tradition. Like how many white England or All Black shirts is a fan willing to own? Probably more England ones if you’re a slob I guess...

Personally I can’t watch a game I know has happened without knowing the result

    Refereeing decisions

Possibly a hard red for an atrocity; gouging, squirrel grip, king hit, violent conduct to an official, etc. Then a 20 minute red for what we saw last night. Like a team shouldn’t be totally disadvantaged if it takes super slo-mo to adjudicate the indiscretion, whether it be legal or not. It was...

Just watched highlights. How did Foketi go when he came on? From the highlights Paisami was strong,

    Waratahs 2022

it’s my opinion. We don’t sign a TH and move two good LHs on pretty much to accomodate him. Robbo said he moved to the Force because of the conflict of interest with his dad being the forwards coach. Is Bell better than Robbo now? Probably. Was he then? Not so sure. Yes he’s a good ball runner...

He definitely got a leg up there. Also helped having his girlfriends dad in the commentary box

I’d agree with that. Lolesio is probably suffering from being in a dominant team and suddenly been thrust into the role because he was behind a dominant pack

He has more time and control.

    Wallabies 2023

Unfortunately rugby is such a position specific game, if Wilson moved to 12 he’d have to learn a new role there. If he fails there he’s given his time and opportunity to others in his best position. If someone coming through could be convinced early in their career, great. But I’d rather see...

Would much prefer Samu over CF. If only for the reason that Samu could move on if never given an opportunity. I also think the introduction of foreign based players needs more forethought and transparency from all sides. It seemed policy on the fly this time around.

    England v Australia - Twickenham, 14 Nov, 4:30am AEDT

Whoever picked this touring party has a bit to answer for. The obvious problem of building a game plan around players who weren’t going to Europe wasn't a great idea. And this front row issue could’ve been avoided. Pone didn’t (I think) play any Super Rugby TT because of injury and hasn’t recovered? That...
