    Brumbies v Reds rd1 SR2013

At one point, Leeds said that he wasn't going to call the 'set' until both packs were still, and in his opinion, there was still movement when he was delaying the 'set' call. Now I don't know whether that's the instruction for the Super refs, or Just Leeds' interpretation, but it seems the...

GAGR Vote - Should Deans go after the EOYT?

I don't agree with the concern about a new coach facing the Lions. Surely that is the ultimate challenge for someone who aspires to the number one job in Australian rugby. If someone finds it too intimidating, he's clearly not the right man. There's a lot of truth in Reason's article. Why...

GAGR Vote - Should Deans go after the EOYT?

Yes he should go because that's how the job works. The team succeeds, you succeed, the team underperforms, you haven't achieved what you were employed for and you go. It's the same as a CEO of a public company, you increase profit, share price rises, you write your own ticket, the company...

    John O'Neill resigns

Personally, I think JON did a pretty good job for rugby on all fronts bar two, sticking to RD for too long, and ignoring grass roots. Remember, his first stint at CEO saw the best period for Australian rugby in my lifetime (I'm nearly 60) and this time he resurrected a dire financial situation...

    Waratahs 2013

I agree with some other posters that the big problem is 10. Barnes generally had a poor season at 10 last year, and would be better suited at 15 imo. I also remain to be convinced Foley is a 10. I like him, think he's got great potential as an exciting attacking runner, but not convinced he is a...

Force v Waratahs Friday April 13th

Yes, that may be right in Colts. When he got to first grade, he and Joel were the Gordon centres, pretty exciiting too at the time. They both got offered Brumbies contracts at the same time, but while Mortlock took his, Joel went to League for three years before coming back to the Brumbies...

Force v Waratahs Friday April 13th

Nev, Mortlock was always a centre, both at Kings and at Gordon. Like a lot of young players, he got his first start at the top level on the wing but quickly shifted to centre. And yes, he's now slow, but wasn't too bad five years ago.

Force v Waratahs Friday April 13th

As a newby to the site, it's interesting that all posts are very biased one way or the other. As a Tahs supporter, I think the Force played very well to their strengths to beat the Tahs last time, the Tahs didn't turn up, and all strength to the Force. And while they are really struggling for...

Waratahs vs Chiefs - Super Rugby RD6 2012

I think Barnes had an absolute shocker, but hopefully it was a one-off, he showed last year (when fit) just how good he can be. Anyway, he is certainly the Tahs best option at ten at this stage. I agree Horne is offering very little, however I think Carter has been pretty effective this year (in...
