One hell of a whinge from our Kiwi compadres

true Tiger- and it gets more difficult when the ruck is moving towards the blue team, and the 5 is trying to get back over the offside line to run in from onside. Did the ref see him get both feet accross the offside line? Was it a ruck then, or still a tackle? And what about the 4 who is doing...

    World Cup Squads

there was also a storey doing the rounds that when he first put his hand up for Italian selection Mallett googled him and decided he didnt want that kind of influence on the team and he was not selected for that year's 6N squad. It took a bit of convincing from Gowers manager and a few meetings...

    One Team

I don't mind the slogan, but the ad needs to be phase 1 of the campaign - man hugs will confuse the bogan, they need more maxxtreme action in their advertising.

    Waratahs 2012

I've only seen him play once in the trial game v Fiji, but I was concerned for his safety at the time. You are right, I wouldn't have him pegged as being 85kgs - more like 75.

    Waratahs 2012

Lee, am I mistaken in thinking Rohan Saifoloi is very small for Super level rugby? or am I thinking of someone else?

    Bok Nr9?

You'd have to think he was 5th in line, possibly 6th considering duveneghe (sp - sorry)

    Bulls vs Waratahs, 2011R16

I hope so. The inner cynic says hickey picked 2 flyhalves and 3 locks to try and pin the bulls in their quarter.

    Force v Highlanders 2011R16

I would think a dry pitch suits the force more - the highlanders best aspect is a grinding forward play, even considering their vast improvement in the backs this year. JOC (James O'Connor) and Stannadr with shep and smith on the wings (plus cummins) have the potential to tear it up

    Force v Highlanders 2011R16

now, if the force could do us all a favour and knock the highlanders out of finals contention

    Waratahs 2012

sorry, I thought I'd mentioned him. I was close, but no cigar. even still, we seem to have 1 good halfback, 1 promising halfback, 1 untried but potentially good halfback and 6-7 tried and tested average halfbacks in this country. The bloody Saffers have tons of quality halfbacks. What gives...

To Forget Marseilles: The Critical Importance of Kicking

Agree 100% Ruggo - my missus has actually called for Burke's head on a number of occasions due to this exact issue - he's employed as a kicking coach, and his players' kicking has gone to shit. also, on Van straaten, I do know he has hooked up with JOC (James O'Connor) a few times this year to go over...

    Waratahs 2012

    OK, that's 1 player (who's played 1 game) - anyone else?

    Waratahs 2012

funny how its the same names over and over when we get halfbacks in this country. phibbs, valentine, sheehan, holmes, even stannard has been around a while. Where are the new up and comming halfbacks in this country? other than Genia and kingi of course

Video: Judiciary looks into Rhodes collar and Deysel throttle

but isnt Deysel a former Lions player?

    Waratahs 2012

Ellis? we want to replace one tough guy halfback who cant pass with another? Jesum H crow that's a stupid idea. I'm no huge McKibbon fan, but surely he's a better option, at least for development of local talent. Or at least pinch another aussie half who's not getting any game time

    Bulls vs Waratahs, 2011R16

    big yes, but aren't they a bit...well...Chisolmish?

    Bulls vs Waratahs, 2011R16

Not sure what they're trying to acheive with Mumm at 6 - maybe reaction to Russow at 6, anticipating a lineout game? Douglas is having some defensive (laziness) issues and Mumm has been a bit soft too, so to shuffle them around and remove one of the most consistant back rowers is a bit odd to...

the number 12 that the waratahs is looking for.

I youtubed him - he's also a mean drummer further research didnt turn up anything other than him running through Billy Slater Lomu style, but there are a few articles saying the tongan international rep wants to play league for NZ. not sure if he'd come over.

    Reds v. Crusaders, May 29th, Suncorp - 2011R15

what impressed me about Coopers play last night was his willingness and ability to get out of trouble chasing back kicks. This is something the wallabies have struggled with, especially with KB (Kurtley Beale) coming up from fullback on attack - we get turned over opposition puts the kick in, and if we get a...

Pressure on the Waratahs to make the Finals

I agree 100% with that, and thought that the tahs were looking great in the first 20 minutes or so when they held possession and built momentum. They sucked in sharks and opened up gaps around the ruck with quick recycle. They almost looked like last years tahs. Then I read this from Hickey...
