    Reds 2014

It's interesting that Link has selected CFS in the squad to SA & Argentina. He should gain some real experience from that which will be great for the Reds next year.

    Springboks v Wallabies, Newlands, September 28 2013

Looking at your avator, and your remarking on banjos in the background, I suggest it might be time to proceed to another forum e.g. Pixie World:eek:

    Wallaby Locks - The Future

HJ, I think you have been reading too many Mills & Boon romance novels:p

I agree re Shipperley. He has the talent but doesn't seem to be really applying himself. I suspect that he was even fairly ordinary playing at Premier Rugby level for The Filth - definitely against GPS in their game at Crosby Road.

Australia vs South Africa - Brisbane 7th Sept 2013

I actually left Suncorp Stadium 15 minutes before the end of the game, an act I can't believe I did, after the Bok scored their third try in a row. On Sunday, I decided to watch the game again which I had recorded. It was then that I realised I had made the right decision the night before. The...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2013

A crowd in excess of 8,600. Which after a Wallaby hangover from the night before, was excellent. Congrats to Easts, they played harder to earn the victory. But no side really deserved to lose. I think the audience were the winners. I love the atmosphere of Ballymore - so much better than Suncorp...

If the Easts boys are getting spooked by ghosts at training or reverting to conspiracy theories, then they got no chance on Sunday. Perhaps they should bring forward their 'Mad Monday' to today:D

Love to know how Zander can fairly consider McCalman or Dennis a better Test player than Schatz.

I thought the HB played very well in some of the more recent Force games receiving the Up & Under. He was fearless in catching the ball, but also good in carrying it back, breaking tackles. Having said that, JOC (James O'Connor) is also no slouch in that department either. Got to say, I really like the look of...

Australia vs South Africa - Brisbane 7th Sept 2013

So Brett Harris in the Australian writes: The possible Wallabies team: 15: Israel Folau, 14: Nick Cummins, 13: Adam Ashley-Cooper, 12: Christian Lealiifano, 11: James O'Connor, 10: Quade Cooper, 9: Will Genia, 8: Jake Schatz, 7: Michael Hooper, 6: Ben Mowen, 5: James Horwill (c), 4: Rob...

Back to the Grand-Final. I went back to the past games between GPS and Easts this year. The results were: 20/04/13 Easts 20 lose to GPS 29 at Easts 29/06/13 GPS 38 win over Easts 33 at GPS Semi Final 24/08/13 Easts 21 win over GPS 6 When Uni played GPS in the preliminary final last weekend...

Australia vs South Africa - Brisbane 7th Sept 2013

It's all very interesting about who will play where for the Wallabies on Saturday night. But I do notice that Link has gone into explanation that he will pick the 15 players he feels are needed to beat the Springbok. Also that they have closely analysed the players from their performances in the...

Well for starters, GPS actually scored 49 points. Uni snatched an intercept on fulltime from a GPS attack in Uni's 22, and by then only one GPS player chased. Everyone else were already enjoying the victory. This was a very different GPS side to the one that went down to East's last weekend, and...

They do if as a new player into the team, he's not up to expectations. The hook comes out very quickly.

I actually left out Gill before, but I'm throwing him in now as my wild card .:D As he gets older, he's only going to get better. He's only just out of nappies. My anxiety is not the players, but the ability of the coaching staff. Without McKenzie and Mackay who are with the Wallabies now, the...

    Reds 2014

I can't believe your perception re a 'mid-table squad'. When you have, starting at the front row, the current Wallaby loose head prop & the current reserve wallaby hooker. The locks are the Wallaby locks (and captain). The No 8 Schatz wins the Reds player's player award, and Quirk's massive...

New Zealand vs Australia - Bledisloe 2, 24th August 2013

It would seem to me, that the most important thing about this loss, is that Link can learn from the team's short comings. After two games he will be able to determine who to keep in the 23, and who to relegate. For the time being, he can put these losses to the AB behind him (new coach, new...
