Round 2: Reds v Canes. Sunday.

It looks like* Doleman is listed as ref for this one, nice little bonus to get the same ref 2 weeks in a row early in the season. Both teams took a bit of time feeling his interpretations at the ruck out early on so hopefully we can really hit the ground running there this weekend. *I say looks...

What rugby needs to do to get back to its roots and entertain customers.

Not exactly sure why we need another thread to discuss this article, I feel like we did it death over in the super rugby thread: http://www.greenandgoldrugby.com/community/threads/super-rugby-2024-general-chat.19495/post-1382801

Round 2: Reds v Canes. Sunday.

Yeah, I'm coming around to that thinking. I do wonder if Campbell might also be a bit more comfortable on the wing in a team playing with a fair bit more structure than it has in the past.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Looks like Stan have shifted Harrison to the call up this week. I'm still not a huge fan but I thought he did much better here, in a more directed, on topic show with McArdle hosting and keeping everything on track. Sounds like Turinui will do the night before gameday this week which probably...

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

If it does change I'd be very surprised if they didn't offer refunds. I don't think they'll struggle to sell Drua v Lions tickets in their place, it'd be the most exciting tour match on the calendar, at least for the traveling fans.

Super Rugby 2024: NZ, Drua & Moana matches

I'm here for it, that's the sort of hubris that sees the Blues lose to the Highlanders.

Is he wearing a New Zealand flag as a bandana?

Super Rugby: Rd 2. NSW Waratahs v Crusaders, Sat Mar 2

I'd probably put Walton in there in that case. I thought he did a pretty reasonable job last weekend and was the only decent kicker in the side. Putting Jorgensen sounds like a great way to destroy the kid's confidence.

Round 2: Reds v Canes. Sunday.

As much as I'd prefer to see Campbell and Petaia swap it's great to see continuity for both the team and Petaia. To come away with no injuries and no need to change things massively puts us in a great position this weekend.

That neck injury for Swinton has to be troubling with his previous nerve damage. I won't be surprised if he doesn't play much at all this year, particularly with his pending departure and the relative back row depth at the tahs.

Article from the tahs lists Perese's return as round 3 and Swinton as indefinite.

That's a very lightweight centre pairing, surprised they didn't start Tuipuloto for a bit more bulk. tahs are going to need the backrow to really step up on the carry.

Round 2: Reds v Canes. Sunday.

Unfortunately no Toomaga-Allen for the Reds. Otherwise Campbell swapping with Grealy is the only change for the Reds. Looks like both Kirifi and Flanders pulled up hurt after the Force game, big outs for the Canes.

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

This is money the government had ear marked for Rugby that has been sent to the Pacific, it's money earmarked for the Pacific that is getting there via rugby. Rugby Australia's involvement looks to be largely in a service delivery capacity - hosting tournaments, providing opposition, staff...

Australian Super Rugby Team of the Week 2024

Figured it's about time to get this going again. Happy to compile the votes, but equally happy to leave it to someone who has done it before if they're keen to go again. Open to thoughts on eligibility but my preference is players eligible for the Wallabies and playing for an Australian super...
