    Force v Brumbies 25 March 2022 @ HBF Park

31 Brumbies (incl ex's) over both teams. How can we lose as fans?

It will be a more even competition at least at the top of the ladder RN. The points accumulated by the Aussie teams stand for the whole of the competition. The Reds and Brumbies just need to beat a couple of the NZ sides to be fairly sure of finishing near the top. I think they can both do that.

    Wallabies 2023

Being very critical, I think Fainga'a, Hodge and Pulu are fortunate. FF (Folau Fainga'a) because of attitude and some fairly ordinary defensive efforts; Hodge because he is simply out of form and Pulu because he is not up to the standard. Not sure who would be next hooker as any mention of a third Brumby would...

    Round 5: Waratahs v Rebels SCG 1945 Saturday 19/3/22

I agree that they look better than with To'omua at 10, and he has a very strong pass but it doesn't go anywhere. Don't think he set up a line break or even half a break all game with his passing and he doesn't take the line on himself. ATM he just seems to shovel the ball to the next player one...

    Round 5 - Brumbies v Reds GIO 18/3

Best two packs going at each other. Personally, I reckon Slipper had the better of TT at scrum time and in open play. AAA was immense and if I'm not mistaken saw out the entire match. FF (Folau Fainga'a) really blotted his copy book by watching JOC (James O'Connor) slide past him to score. Poor effort. Brumbies second row id...

    Round 5 - Brumbies v Reds GIO 18/3

Agree, I had Uru as best Reds player on ground and probably edging out Rob for ToTW. Wilson and McReight are absolutely top rated players although I thought Brown was equal to McReight in the 7 spot. Stewart is getting better and better and it was a close tussle with Simone in the 12 spot...

    Round 5 - Brumbies v Reds GIO 18/3

Darcy Swain would have been MOTM had he stayed on longer. Very rare for a player to get up the noses of the opposition and their fans so much in a game.:p Frost was very good, but I reckon Ala'alatoa was best for playing out a full game and getting the upper hand in a titanic scrum battle...

Thanks BH. Someone above had suggested the U20s were or might have been the nominated side at some stage, and given in more years than not we don't even have an Aus A side, I was merely hoping.

I don't suppose we had nominated the U20s at the time Mack Hansen was playing?

LB, I never said nor suggested the Reds are not a champion team.

    Round 5 - Brumbies v Reds GIO 18/3

Dropped to improve their techniques and now fit as a fiddle after missing the EOYT, Adam. Game breakers like Tupou, McReight, Wilson, Paisami and Petaia. Brumbies are poor individually in comparison with Valetini, Wright and Banks probably the only players who can regularly break or bend the...

Damon Murphy referee. Make of that what you will.

    Round 5 - Brumbies v Reds GIO 18/3

Too close to call. Team of champions (Reds) v champion team. Not saying Reds aren't a champion team but I think the Brumbies depend more on teamwork to break defences while the Reds have any number of attacking players capable of individually making the breaks. Should be a great match up.

LOL. I am honoured with the suggestion but despite the fact Dan often follows my selections advice posted here, I can assure you that I am not Dan McKellar.

    Reds 2023

Adam, it's looking like Fainga'a might be available next year. Would you like to see the Reds go after him? In any case I don't think there will be a Wallaby hooker sitting outside the 23 so you will hopefully be headache free.

I recall one of the main beefs from Sydney club land, at least its fans here, when NRC followed was that the SS had to finish earlier than customary. The issue possibly was what do the club players do in those weeks they would in other years still be playing SS. Whatever, I have no confidence...

    Round 5 - Brumbies v Reds GIO 18/3

Quite prepared to leave it til after the game TSR. Not in any way trying to predict how this week's ref will control the game. While not wanting to constantly blame referee errors or questionable decisions, a bit more accountability on their part would not go astray.
