    Rebels 2012

Time to start jumping on the bandwagon boys. http://www.theage.com.au/rugby-union/union-news/rebels-on-the-march-with-cipriani-says-oconnor-20120219-1th45.html

    Rebels 2012

I want to see Stirzaker get some more game time this year, he was excellent in the 10 or so minutes he had last night. Plays quite a traditional scrumhalf role it seems, didn't look to run the ball much, just got to the breakdown quickly then whipped the ball off the deck. He looked better than...

    Rebels v Crusaders Trial

Here are the updates kiap was working off last night, they aren't the best or anything, probably not that accurate in retrospect either, but hey. And a couple of posts are in relation to questions, so they are a bit out of context. Sorry I didn't post them here, but one site was pretty much all...

    Rebels 2012

Gav, In fairness Terblanche makes Simon Shaw look young and spry. I much more enjoyed him bumping the bestest and most amazingest defensive centre the world has ever seen. hammer, pretty sure that was David Raikuna, he's played some 7s for New Zealand. Bit of a unit. He likely won't be...

    Rebels 2012

I think we'll see Beale coming into the line a lot this year. Cips doesn't have a good long-passing game, but he's got a very good short one and the pace to make little half-breaks. All he needs to do is get just outside his man, then dish the ball off to a runner flying in off his shoulder - be...

    Rebels 2012

Just a bunch of lads having the craic, so they were. In other news, I'm a bit worried at how badly our lineout fell away in the second half. I get that there were a stack of substitutions and all, but it really was absolutely gash. We don't have the firepower to stick with the big boys for 80...

So how about them Rebels hey?

    Who is this player?

Interesting that three of that starting XV are in the Rebels books for next season. Fifth Super team doing its job!

So the upshot of all that contract stuff is we get to keep Cippers and Delve for another year? trackandtrailor, I agree mate. Inman will get first crack at OC over Johansson though.

    Rebels 2012

Cipriani has an outstanding kicking game as well. He makes Quade look like Jerry Collins on defence, but he's got the ball on a string. I expect the first choice backline to end up looking like: 9. Phipps 10. Cipriani 11. Vuna 12. JOC (James O'Connor) 13. Inman 14. Kingi 15. Beale Predicting Mortlock and...

    Rebels 2012

The bench. He's behind JOC (James O'Connor), Mortlock, Inman and arguably Gerrard in the centres.

I don't know. I think the pack will go alright, it definitely won't be dominating anyone, but it should at least maintain parity. Cipriani doesn't actually have a great long passing game, he throws a fantastic short ball though. I think JOC (James O'Connor) will see quite a bit of it.

Can I just say, Bieber looks damn good in a Rebels jersey.

    RWC - Wallabies v Ireland - 17th September 2011

Oh look, he is a seriously good player, one of the best ball carriers in world rugby, he's not a 'fetcher' though. The problem with this Irish back row is balance, they're all big ball-carriers. Not saying they aren't quick, or can't do anything else, but they're all a very similar type of...

    RWC - Wallabies v Ireland - 17th September 2011

SOB is the bestest player in the world, so he is.

Maybe they will start Mitchell. What Braveheart said.

    Rebels 2012

Really, really happy about signing PAE, Johannson not so much. Think it's a fantastic sign that we're chasing after young Australian players as much as possible, there's some definite long term thinking at play.

    Media Expectations

Surprised Victor Vito didn't get a mention but Conrad Smith did. Not to mention Guildford, Jane and SOB. Very questionable taste.

    What's up with Dan Carter?

Might have picked up a knock early on, definitely wrapped in a bit of cotton wool, he normally takes the ball to the line a lot more than that. Eden Park was the best game he's played in years, so it's not like he's horribly out of form. Slight injury or coaching directive I'd say.
