    Round 7 Reds v Brumbies, Suncorp Stadium 2/4 @ 6:45pm AEST

It’s an interesting scenario - I wonder how Paisami feels about being considered the ‘next best’ option. If I was him I’d be pushing for the permanent gig at 13. Of course that’s no easy assignment either given Ikitau’s form last year and this and the fact Ikitau has a very good left boot. But...

    Round 7 Reds v Brumbies, Suncorp Stadium 2/4 @ 6:45pm AEST

I get the reference to Petaia, but that’s harsh on Paisami’s for this year. From memory he’s been TOTW contender every week he’s played and I can’t remember too many errors.

It’s not just the refs to be fair.

Are all the Brumbies supporters holding off posting until they know which ref it is they are bagging?

    Round 7 Reds v Brumbies, Suncorp Stadium 2/4 @ 6:45pm AEST

I am not going to pretend I know the pecking order, but I am not sure what evidence there is that Henry is clearly favoured to Flook, especially at 13. Flook was first cab off the rank last year when Paisami was injured and there is nothing in either his form or the selections so far to suggest...

    Round 7 Reds v Brumbies, Suncorp Stadium 2/4 @ 6:45pm AEST

No - I think you’re spot on. There were some early season rumours that Henry was highly rated and Thorn was looking at him for the 12 spot. How much substance there was behind those rumours I have no idea. From my expert seat in my couch at home I wouldn’t be dropping Stewart, but Henry does...

    Round 7 Reds v Brumbies, Suncorp Stadium 2/4 @ 6:45pm AEST

Quick, good defender, runs good support lines and good catch pass. Plus he’s match fit. Play our best possible 23 v Brumbies. Edit: I also agree with Dru that Paisami’s best spot is 13 and I wouldn’t be dropping Stewart for this game unless Thorn thinks Henry is an upgrade at 12 which I think...

    Round 7 Reds v Brumbies, Suncorp Stadium 2/4 @ 6:45pm AEST

Flook has been great this year. But I’m still puzzled both by Daugunu’s apparent fall from favour on here, and within the Reds squad. Personally I’d still have him in my top 23. One thing it does shows is Thorn has used far less player rotation this year.

    Round 6 - Reds v Waratahs - Suncorp

Sorry all - but can I pick up a theme from last week and have a quick whinge. I have been on two other sites this morning and left them because there are groups of Reds fans complaining at length about last nights refereeing. It seems even in winning some people just love to complain...

    Round 6 - Reds v Waratahs - Suncorp

No probs. I read your comment as saying the Reg & other Reds supporters had disputed whether the Tahs were really disadvantaged by the missing players. Something I don’t think any of us disputed.

    Round 6 - Reds v Waratahs - Suncorp

Shiggins isn’t a Reds fan Froggy. The only comment made by Reg was that the Reds weren’t full strength (Mafi, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), Vunivalu would all be in our best 23, ASY (Angus Scott-Young) would be likely to cover lock).

    Round 6 - Reds v Waratahs - Suncorp

He certainly isn’t going to get run over. I always thought he looked a natural 13, but I agree he is doing lots of good stuff at the back. He’s certainly answered the question as to whether he can kick (though does need to work on his consistency - seems good for at least one shank per game at...

    Round 6 - Reds v Waratahs - Suncorp

That’s fair - but I still think the observation is a reasonable one that Harris didn’t shine last night, so long as it is viewed from the right perspective. He is a young guy who is in his first season as a starter. His performance last night shouldn’t overly detract from what has been a very...

    Round 6 - Reds v Waratahs - Suncorp

I think Canpbell’s issue until now is that he has really been a fullback or nothing. Last year he wasn’t near as good on the wing. This year his wing play has been much better IMO. If he can also make a bit of play as a back up 10 then he has a much better chance of playing test rugby. If I was...

    Round 6 - Reds v Waratahs - Suncorp

Sorry, no - I was just trying to make the observation that Shiggins had found a way to reach a new high by jumping on the Reds v Tahs thread and commenting on the fact that it is not just RA/the Refs/all the other teams conspiring against the Force, but also the commentators.

    Round 6 - Reds v Waratahs - Suncorp

With the unfortunate injury to Banks the Wallabies 15 jersey looking even more open. I wonder if Jock Campbell might start suggesting to the S&C staff that Petaia could use a break.

Prior to Tupou, I don’t think I’ve seen the chewing gum dental protection method since the 80s. I’m amazed he is allowed to do it.
