    Wallabies v Barbarians - 1/11/14 (Twickenham)

Remind me again what Foley has achieved in Wallaby colours at 10? For me, Foley's had one really good performance, and that was against Argentina on the Gold Coast. Apart from that, there were poor to average performances against France, poor to average performances against NZ and SA in the...

    Australian Rugby / RA

Don't think 10 will be interested, but I suspect the ARU may be able to convince Fox for one more year. The joker in the pack is the international broadcast rights, if the ARU can get it picked up in the UK, broader Europe, SA and NZ (some of which have already shown games) then they may just...

NRC Final - Brisbane City v Perth Spirit - Saturday November 1

Damn. Kerevi is out. Huge advantage to the Spirit. edit: Beaten by @MrTimms by seconds!

NRC Final - Brisbane City v Perth Spirit - Saturday November 1

As a brief digression, I think the biggest hope for the NRC is actually the overseas TV viewing rights, to NZ, SA and Europe. Hopefully the teams are named today.

    Wallabies v Barbarians - 1/11/14 (Twickenham)

I count 9 NZers in the run on team. Not the strongest Baabaas team ever, though. The bench isn't too hot as well, but it will be interesting to see Brussow get a run.

    Australian Rugby / RA

So you say we should abandon the NRC we are back to multiple local comps, no real third tier, no real development pathway. The Shute Shield and Brisbane comps meanwhile are being weakened as players at the Force and Rebels and Brumbies are all required in their local comps now. The reason that...

    Australian Rugby / RA

The clubs got included this time. They tendered. There is no way, repeat no way, that a national comp can be built on the Shute Shield comp. Once people get past that fact, you realise that Shute Shield teams must largely be abandoned. I hate to break it to you, but some select Shute...

    Wallaby Watch 2014

Of all the locks on tour, Horwill's style would most suit what Cheika wants. Horwill's issue is still that his impact is not what is once was before his horrible hamstring injury.

    Brumbies 2015

He's still a converted hooker and work in progress. His set piece was far from good. Potential is there, and boy is he physical, but he needs more developing.

    Wallabies v Barbarians - 1/11/14 (Twickenham)

Cooper was 6th I thought on 94 points, Moore 5th on 98, but I could be wrong and there could be another player between them. It's actually not easy to find what all the points for the JEM are, apart from the top 5 being published in some reports.

    Wallabies v Barbarians - 1/11/14 (Twickenham)

Posted earlier from @RugbyReg, Thursday AM London time, so that will be Thursday evening / night Sydney time.

    Kurtley Beale

Isn't the fact that the recipient is, say, Alan Jones, Rebecca Wilson, Greg Growden, or Miranda Devine mitigating circumstances though?

Where to for quality Rugby journalism???

As someone else wrote elsewhere on G&GR (if they want to say who wrote it, feel free), journos have sources, and for a rugby journalist in Australia, sources in and around the Wallabies and Tahs (if you are in Sydney) are gold. Now, something like this saga breaks and you can take one of two...

NRC Final - Brisbane City v Perth Spirit - Saturday November 1

City should definitely have the edge in the loosies, if Gill, Schatz and Browning are available.

    NRC Crowd Watch

Brett's source told him that at the the start of the tournament. I suspect Fox may not be impressed now, though. I really hope Growden is wrong.

    Super Rugby Membership Watch

Scoey, yeah, same with my boy. He is a little tall, but rather lean and he has a huge head. 00 stuff hangs off him, but the length is right and the head size sometimes too tight. The Reds jersey swims on him too. Haven't tried to put it on in a while, though.

    Kurtley Beale

He's also implying the ARU are at fault for not having an easy download version (for multiple platforms on different phones) of everyone's number. Then again, maybe, just maybe, Beale could not have sent the message to begin with. And then sent it a second time.

    Wallabies v Barbarians - 1/11/14 (Twickenham)

London is about 11 hours behind Sydney, so that will mean probably Thursday evening/night Sydney time.

    Super Rugby Membership Watch

I intend on renewing my Forever Reds membership, which I think has increased to $55 (wasn't it $35 or so?). Either way, not a large amount of money. Uncertain at this stage about renewing my membership for my baby, though. He will be promoted to Red Toddler if I do, from Baby Red. The Baby...

    Super Rugby Television Ratings 2014

That's a worry, unfortunately. Can't imagine that Fox are enamoured with the viewership. While I think that the NRC ratings would likely be beating anything else Fox Sports may show at the same time, whether they are getting their money's worth is another question.
