Is there a reason why Jenkins is on the bench?

Western Sydney Rams . NRC Official Team Thread

An agent meant to help fight the war, but is actually undermining the health of everyone? Most of the Shute Shield clubs would love the NRC to be scrapped, and maybe the NSWRU too going by what McKay wrote today.

    Reds 2015

Yeah, saw that. Not sure why they need an outside back, though, other than belief that Turner and CFS are both going to get injured before the season even really starts. Which, is probably fair enough. CFS: wing/centre Kuridrani: wing Turner: wing/fullback JOC (James O'Connor): wing/fullback/12/nota10 Hunt...

    Wales v Australia

Not a bad side at all, if all those players are available. Quite good, actually. If that side is named, I reckon Wales would go in as favourites. Not sure on their form though, as I have watched next to no NH rugby. Tipuric not playing well enough to make the starting side currently? The...

    NRC Crowd Watch

The Stars also need the Sydney Uni hierarchy to take the NRC seriously. Without doubt the Stars need another Shute Shield team to go with them. The Stars have a competitive first up team, but there will be injuries and the fabled Sydney Uni depth isn't what it was 3 - 4 years ago. It's not...

    Reds 2015

I think that the Reds can afford to have 30 in their main squad, and 5 in the EPS. They really only need one more THP prop in the main squad, and maybe another THP in the EPS / EDS if Holmes won't make the start of the season, if they are confident on relying on Paraka and Faagase if one gets...

http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-union/australia-rugby Chris Dutton from the Canberra Crimes has been doing most of the articles in the SMH in Robinson's absence...

    Wales v Australia

We'll see what team Wales name, but with them trying to change over to some new players, I don't think they will be the hardest scrum we face on this tour. Not sure how Wales' lineout will go, though, or if we might want Jones over McMahon for the lineout.

    NRC Crowd Watch

The "usually dependable Chief Rugby Correspondent for the SMH" was too busy writing smear stories to even write a single NRC article. SMH have practically ignored the NRC. No articles in the leadup for any finals games. All coverage of finals games were sourced from AAP. At least the...

    Reds 2015

Pretty sure that the EPS + main squad is something like 35, but the main squad can be up to 31 or so? Anyway, assuming the Reds don't mind relying on Faagase and Paraka next year from then EDS, plus maybe McIntyre as well from the EDS, then the Reds are probably still short a prop, lock...

So has the EPS become the EDS, or is the EPS still around in conjunction with the EDS?

    Reds 2015

Thomson got 3 or 4 turnovers, score a try and had some nice touches. Thought he was maybe the pick of the Baabaa forwards.

    Reds 2015

Enever is a shame, but he got a better offer at the Brumbies. Reds had no room or need for a 5th lock in their squad, and when a spot at the Brumbies is offered Enever took it, well done to him. The problem for the Reds with locks is that O'Donoghue is just about done, and Horwill may be...

    Reds 2015

No Jack Payne in the dev squad? They need a THP, particularly as Holmes may not make the start of the tournament. Faagase can play both sides, Paraka is a LHP. So, Slipper, Daley, Paraka LHPs and Holmes, Faagase THPs with maybe Holmes injured. Talaki will be there I think, maybe as the...

    Wallabies v Barbarians - 1/11/14 (Twickenham)

I wouldn't be so sure of that, some fuss was made mid season about Cooper being the best defensive 5/8 by tackling stats mid way through the tournament. I don't know how Foley and Cooper defensively relatively ended up by the time Cooper was injured (in the Rebels game, around the last third or...

Australian Rugby's greatest day of shame....

Wonder if it frustrates the ARU board of directors that the tribunal accepted Beale's contrition, while at the same time Beale's team ran a very effective campaign against Link, Patston and the ARU in the media, effectively trying to paint Beale as the victim. I'd say that Beale is lucky that...

    Reds 2015

Not fantastic, I wouldn't have him as a blindside unless there's a heap of injuries. The game he played seemed more like a lock than a blindside - McDuling played fairly tight most of the time. Reds are loaded on blindsides as well: Thomson, Quirk, Tui, maybe Browning. Only one not...

    Reds 2015

I think that McDuling has been the pick of the locks in the NRC for me. He beat plenty of first up tackles to go with those stats, as well. The only slightly down thing for McDuling has been the lineout, where City have really struggled at times, the rest of his game has been outstanding.
