Spies is a pussy - Ben McCalman

I rate Spies I think he's class, so I'd love it if McCalman can get the points on Sunday morning & then back it up in Sydney a week later. I thought McCalman was the standout Aussie forward in the 1st Barbarians match this year he reminds of Daniel Heenan only slightly more mobile.

    The Holy Grail

So much for injuries letting us down, all the players we keep saying would be a walk up start in the Wallabies were playing in that horror show against Scotland.

    Wallabies vs Boks Bloemfontein

Deans should go a 5-2 split on the bench but he won't which is crazy considering he doesn't use the backline players at his disposal, McCalman, Moore & Slipper should all start or at least play the entire 2nd half.

Wallabies V Boks Loftus Versfeld Pretoria 28/08/2010

It's stranger than that, I officially award Robbie Deans the weirdo award or the NZRU for best plant award.

Wallabies V Boks Loftus Versfeld Pretoria 28/08/2010

That's the best Bok team so far this season.

Springbokke vs All Blacks : Soccer Stadium , Soweto

I think the Boks really missed Fourie Du Preez, Bakkies & Bismarc Du Plessis. Nothing against Hougaard who I thought was brilliant & will surely cover Du Preez when he moves on but take Carter (who had a shocker, injury perhaps) out of the All Blacks & they really lack direction out wide also...

Wallabies V Boks Loftus Versfeld Pretoria 28/08/2010

I think the Boks were unlucky on saturday & I've seen enough from our bunch to know better, Boks by 10. I have fully prepared myself for a wallabies fumbling & bumbling session when the game is there for the taking. I have no faith in Robbies Deans that this team has turned a corner in...

    Hugh McMeniman, what's the deal?

Next year or ever? Because we do have a Lions tour in 2013 which is as big an event as a RWC.

    Hugh McMeniman, what's the deal?

I was thinking about Vickerman coming back & then the other day I saw Chris jack on the ITM cup & thought what a raging success his comeback to the south has been.

    Hugh McMeniman, what's the deal?

Shame, I loved watching him play he was all action & was easily the most dynamic lock/backrower getting around I've been looking for some footage of his classic games when he really ripped in so if anyone on the board has any of these old games on DVD or Video let me know as I would love to get...

    2011 Tri Nation Fixtures

I'd be happy just to beat them on home turf ATM.

The guessing game: return of Vickerman

MMM actually strung some games together for the Wallabies it was the Reds he never turned out for. I think 2005 MMM played the entire EOYT after knocking back the Wallabies tri-nations to put on some weight, in 2006 he missed the tri-nations & done his neck 1st game on EOYT. 2007 he was...

    South Africa tour (and squad)

Scotty, Holmes was playing 3 this year when Weekes was out although he used to play 1 (loosehead) when Blake was at the Reds.

    South Africa tour (and squad)

I was actually thinking that (Simmons/Mumm & Higgers/Burgo) but didn't think Mumm was all that bad last night & also though that Higgers was very similar to McCalman anyway. If we had a forward like Polota-nau or Palu to add into the mix I would definitely go 5-2.

Well Sharpe was dropped mid Tri nations in 2008 so why not Ma'afu, I want Greg Holmes to come in at Tighthead. 22 I'd like to see in SA. 1.Robinson 2.Fainga'a 3.Holmes 4.Mumm 5.Sharpe 6.Elsom 7.Pocock 8.Hodgson 9.Genia 10. Wallaby tactics

Yeah he seems a little off the pace ATM I assume he must be injured. How quick is Rod Davies & Will Chambers. Chambers beat Rico Gear in a 40 metre sprint & Corey Jane had no hope of catching Davies. Beale is quick also I thought Carter would have run him down last night because I...

    Wallaby tactics

You don't need set piece for a set move, watch the Reds v Hurricanes (you tube) when Rod Davies is just hanging around A.Fainga'a waiting for QC (Quade Cooper) to send a long flat ball on the gainline so Fainga'a just has to catch & pop pass back inside. The Reds were 4-5 phases up when they put that move...
