New Zealand v Wallabies, Eden Park, Sat 22nd October

] pretty sure you can run any line you want in support of the ball carrier. I recall mccaw doing exactly the same thing a couple years back and the kiwis on here lecturing us on exactly that.

Frisby played better than Phipps did when Phipps came off because the pack was tired and fucked. Foley, Folau, Pocock, Arnold and DHP played well. If QC (Quade Cooper) played this game and missed those kicks though, the flower brigade would crucify him. Effort - that's what the guys put out there and it was...

Where the hell has this wallabies team been all year?

I thought you could run a support line and jostle?

Great try. Foley sold a perfect dummy.

Diverse attack by the wallabies, but not coming away with the points. Still too many mistakes at the end. Foley playing well. Arnold having a screamer.

A really good try. Good teamwork.

Oz better be careful here - lots of infringements by men in gold and Nigel will start watching one side only.

I reiterate that I think Cheika is undoubtedly the best man for the job out of those who want it. Doesn't mean I always agree or understand his selections. Trying to justify or Rationalise the odd selections is just making it worse, guys.

Wow. IF Foley is in at 10, I'm not sure Cooper is a good bench option. I always felt he is best when he builds into the match, and that's pretty difficult to do when getting 10 minutes at the end and behind on points.

Based on current selection practices, Mumm and Foley are certainties. I would rather have rotating captains than have Hooper as captain. the wallabies will never have the ear of any referee while Hooper is captain, and we will continue to miss out on the 50/50 calls (and probably a fair chunk...

I was referring to Hooper specifically, so I think the world is safe. For now.

    No, I don't.........

I hope this was said in jest. As captain, Hooper has been and will be a disaster. On topic: Like others have posted, I just can't see us winning this one, but I really hope we see a tighter game than what most have been this year against the NZ team.

You're not the first 23 year old to think that way......... and you won't be the first 35 year old that thinks differently.

i think head coaches of representative teams need to be more along the inspirational and the 'on the fly' analysis type coaches - and I am unsure that a skills coach is going to be that kind of person. Cheika has demonstrated an ability to get guys to buy in to what he's pitching, but has been...

    Reds 2017

The delay in naming the assistant coaches is intriguing. Is it because the coaching performance in the NRC was underwhelming and therefore forced a rethink? Is it a marketing/timing thing (coordinate with some other rugby function or something)? Is it possible that we are stealing some NPC...

Gee, CFS must be using up a lot of brownie points with the rugby gods. He's very lucky to be in the squad, in my opinion.

It's a good squad. So was 2015. It is all on the coaching and backroom now.
