In his defence, he’s easily confused

But in saying that, English rugby didn’t really seem to assess his skill set and see where he fit in in rugby. Most of the other examples transitioned ok because they’re athletically gifted and they were given a chance to learn (or relearn) the game without wild expectations put upon them

Burgess shouldn’t have been starting in a RWC at flanker or 12 in his first year coming over without prior rugby experience. Must’ve been disheartening for his teammates to have a big name dud holding the team back. And then he drops it and returns to league.

Sam Burgess? Jokes. He falls into the category of having it handed to him on a platter without earning it. Like England are strong, it’s not like Craig Gower playing for Italy. More like Same as Hayne with the Fijian 7s.

Glad we went back to the classic gold jersey. It just looks right.

Perhaps the numbers (when they did it right) from the indigenous jersey could be a permanent feature?

Thumbs down emoji. Poor kid, his career has been punctuated by injuries. Hopefully he knuckles down, does the rehab and returns.

Did Vailanu get suspended or injured in his TPN tackle? Because it’s him or Sauni in my opinion. Is it a week or two stand down for a player with no symptoms forced off with an HIA? Any ideas?

James Ramm played half a game at fullback for Randwick, not sure if he came off injured or was playing limited minutes to test his recovery though. If he’s 100% he’s another option at 15. They will probably use Newsome at 15 as he’s played a few games there, but I’ve liked his play from 11.

HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) was playing to a game plan where he submitted to tackles so we were within the 22 when he was tackled, so we were able to to kick out on the full. His stats suffered, but was good for the team. He generally is given clean out duties for Bells runs. It’s not that easy to change roles on the run.

Not to mention 2 from 3 at line out time.

You wonder if we telegraph getting him the ball or put in the Koro wing role?

You wonder if he’s filling Bells role? Usually does the clean out work off Bells runs.

This tactic of HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) taking a surrender to get us a clearance is going stuff up his stats. Good for the team though

Horton is being assessed for the hia though, right?

See how we hold it together in the last 20. Props and hookers don’t play 80 minutes these days. Fingers crossed
