Shout out to Home Unions / Northern Hemisphere

How much money does the ARU make out of a Lions tour? And when did tens of thousands of Aussie, SA or NZ rugby fans make it over to support their nations playing in Britain and Ireland? I hope the Lions do FUck off but I doubt if the ARU do.

    James Horwill cited for stamping

I knew there would be a massive row at some point with Gatland in charge. He wants the NZ job and will stop at nothing to get it, blaming anybody and everybody who gets in his way. And that is the reason why there will be no application of common sense. I suspect the atmosphere next week will be...

    James Horwill cited for stamping

According to the legal expert on MF.com Horwill does not have any right of appeal if he is found guilty by this new inquiry. Anyone here know any different?

    Lions Tour 2013

Everyone on here seems to be a bit obsessed with JFK. You are obviously much more trusting than me and don't believe the press has an agenda.

    Lions Tour 2013

No one was hurt but I am pleased that he came out with this statement, cracking player and having briefly met him last season seems like a cracking lad.

    James Horwill cited for stamping

I don't understand it myself but the Lions lads seem to think this is just an internal review of the decision and was sanctioned by the IRB after the Rougerie incident on McCaw in the RWC final. Whatever it is not being handled very well as it seems to be producing an awful lot of heat.

    James Horwill cited for stamping

I agree, but the Lions management and fans won't shut up and that is the massive problem for the game which would have been partially negated if they could have cleared up the problem before Horwill plays in the second test. You only have to have a look at the articles in the British press to...

Wallabies: Latest Injuries and selection for Test 2

Appointed by or approved by the IRB? If the latter and appointed by the ARU then an Appeal can be justified but if it can't be heard before the test then it will just make the whole thing ten times worse and risk compromising the seemingly positive atmosphere at the games which will be bad for...

    James Horwill cited for stamping

Who appointed Hampton, the IRB or the ARU? If the former then they shouldn't be appealing against the judgement, if the latter then it could be argued they should BUT if they can't get the case heard before the second test, which for the life of me I do not understand, then they should not be...

I think we can be fairly confident your man is unlikely to be overseeing a citing commission any time soon!?!?

Australia vs British and Irish Lions 2nd Test (Melbourne)

The rugby judicial system does not work, period. With the likes of Skype, video conference etc there is precisely no reason why the IRB cannot have a commitee that deals with all citings worldwide. Please though can someone tell me who appointed Hampton to inquire into the citing of Horwill? It...

    Lions Tour 2013

The thing is there seems to be a wilful disinformation campaign from the non Murdoch Press in the UK which makes me wonder whether this is part of the BT campaign within English and European rugby.

Wallabies: Latest Injuries and selection for Test 2

Who appointed Hampton ARU or IRB? Completely genuine question BTW, the answer to which might diffuse the row a bit. Can't help feeling that the non Murdoch media in the UK is priming it's audience for a pop at the Lions concept especially with the upcoming BT battle over the HEC.

I agree with that, IRB are stirring up a nest of vipers which will not be good for the game especially in Aus.

    Lions Tour 2013

It is going to lead to a horrible last week I would say. I had a feeing Gatland's hand grenade lobbing might come back to bite him with the greater press exposure of a lions tour.

Wallabies: Latest Injuries and selection for Test 2

This episode cannot end well. As many of you have posted, Horwill is probably a certainty to be banned now. If Aus win on saturday and he is then banned the whining out of Lions fans (one of which I am not BTW) will be epic. If the Lions win on saturday then this business might well be seen by...

    Lions Tour 2013

Terrible management of this situation. Does this appeal have anything to do with the prince of darkness Alisdair Campbell being in Australia?
