RWC: AUS v URU (Villa Park, Birmingham): POOL A; 9pm (AEST) Sunday 27 September

Whether he's fatigued depends on how many minutes he plays. He can always be pulled early.

    Now you've lost me completely.

Well, um, yeah... the northern hemisphere starts at the equator, and Japan is in it. There's no fooling you!

RWC: SCO v JAP (Kingsholm) - Pool B

I think the one concern Scotland will have is that Japan have been all over them for most of the first half.

    RWC: Australia v Fiji - 23 September 16:45, Millenium Stadium(24 September 1:45 AEST)

Really?! You lucky, lucky man! Apart from the occasion, it's the best stadium in the world.

WHY IS THIS GAME TAKING SO LONG TO START? I'm sitting at my desk. I'm supposed to be working. How can I possibly work?

The other thing about Japan is that they're an honorary Southern Hemisphere team. Our ninjas in the NH.

RWC: SAF v JAP (Brighton Stadium) Pool B

I really hope they knock off Scotland. I actually like the Scots but seeing Japan potentially top the pool would be marvelous.

Rugbynutter, I think it was more than just a gameplan. They executed perfectly. Playing with sufficient passion can sometimes be a variable. Playing with accuracy should be able to be repeated over and over again. Their second-last try was superbly skilled. I don't personally put much stock in...

I agree. And I think the Wallabies will be going out there to make a statement, not just to win. It's the usual media pusillanimy, talking down our chances, talking up the opposition. Then, if we do win well, they'll crow like they did it.

Same. The quote function doesn't work reliably in IE.

    Waratahs 2016

You're being hard on them. Alphabet genuinely tried to get out of his overseas contract. He wasn't angling for a larger offer. But hey ho. The Internet is a place to pour malice and scorn on players and officials from the comfort of our couches.

Eddie Jones Stormers, No, Wait, England coach

Jones is an outstanding coach. Some of his ideas at the Wobs were simply ahead of their time. Look at two sevens and mobile props. Players had to catch up with his innovations. By far the best set move coach in the world.

If Japan beat Scotland tomorrow then they should top the pool. Samoa and USA are both serviceable teams but nowhere near the standard Japan showed against the Boks. Japan appear to have stepped up a gear from their Pacific Nations form. Personally I think Japan will deal with Scotland.
