Farrell is no more use than a robotic kicking leg. Some of his passing this season has been woeful, whilst I don't think either is test standard at 10 or 12 I'd rather have Twelvetrees given that all he'll play is probably against BaaBaas, NSW Country and the Rebels

Twelvetrees is going as a 12 who can cover 10 in midweek games, with one of the others as Jonny Sexton's test understudy

    Lions Watch

The Guardian, BBC and other English papers are reporting that the tour party will be made up of: 15 Welsh 12 Irish 8 English 3 Scots Gatland obviously attaching a lot of weight to the Irish Heineken/Amlin performances. Apparently 2 of Wilko, Farrell and Twelvetrees will go.

Personally I wouldn't select Croft, probably St Sam aside the most over rated back row in Europe. He got dumped into touch by Paddy Wallace for gods sake! Back row is a competitive area for the Lions that said I wouldn't back any of the Lions options to make the back row. Reports are that...

    RBS 6 Nations 2013

Delighted that Schmidt has been appointed was the best choice for the job. However I wouldn't want any of the current ticket retained especially that spoofer Kiss, he should have been sacked a long time ago. I would give an nod to Foley, he oversaw Irelands best function this year but I think he...

    Heineken Cup 2013

I didn't realize it was Conor George, just saw the link on the balls.ie facebook. Still I think this is the time to go, bringing his kids on at the end certainly gave the impression his mind is made up.

    Thoughts on Folau to rugby

During the Leinster game at the weekend at a break in play the crowd broke into a chorus of "one more year" to Brian O'Driscoll. Perhaps we should try this for Izzy? The effectiveness obviously depending on how quickly we get shouted down by the corporates at SFS.

Lions 5/8? Johnny Wilkinson back in contention?

I think you guys will be surprised at Jonny Sexton this winter, few seem to rate him here but there hasn't been a better fly half in Europe for the past few years. He has been painfully misused by Ireland, or specifically Declan Kidney, being forced to play deep and kick when his natural...

    Heineken Cup 2013

Reports in Ireland are emerging today that ROG has played his last game for Munster.

Lions 5/8? Johnny Wilkinson back in contention?

Aside from Madigan I don't think the Lions have a real game changer off the bench. Farrell offers zero impact aside from goal kicking, some of his passing yesterday was woeful. Sexton at this stage is as important to a Lions series win as Genia is for the Wobs.

Super Rugby players must be allowed to cross borders and remain eligible for Test sides

Australia just doesn't have the player depth to allow its players to play abroad and still be Wallabies. If they want strong franchise then the current rule has to remain in place.

Lions 5/8? Johnny Wilkinson back in contention?

After Sexton there is a serious drop off in quality, personally I'd bring Wilko as the second fly half but given he'll be involved in the Top 14 finals until early June Gatland won't take him. At this stage I'd consider Bigger, Madigan and James Hook ahead of Farrell

Bulls vs Waratahs - Super Rugby Rd11 2013

Tahs deserved more than this. Game was there didn't have the execution to bring it home, what a shame.

Bulls vs Waratahs - Super Rugby Rd11 2013

So we're a lineout and a placekicker away from a finals team

Bulls vs Waratahs - Super Rugby Rd11 2013

God I hope so, we should be out of sight with the missed kicks.

they obviously haven't looked at the place kicking stats!

    Will McKibben make this kick?

Bulls vs Waratahs - Super Rugby Rd11 2013

What a stupid penalty to give away, exactly what we don't need
