    Brumbies 2018

I expect he's behind Pocock, Naisarani, Valetini, Cusack, and probably Fakaosilea. Who knows what type of Hyne will come back from injury. McCaffrey's biggest advantage when injury strikes is that he can cover second row, which may give him an in ahead of Swain.

    The Wallabies Thread

We've seen the 9 debate in New Zealand over the last three years, where Hansen pretty explicitly said that he was picking Kerr-Barlow on the bench instead of Perenara because he expected 80 from his starter and would use the bench if he needed something different. This has changed in 2017, and...

    Reds 2018

The backline is full of talent. I think the only certainties are Tuttle at 9 and Hunt at 15, and Kerevi somewhere in the centres. Apart from that, you have to fit Cooper, Stewart, Paia'aua, Perese, Nabuli, and CFS into four spots. Hell, if Maranta can finally recover from those injuries, he...

    Reds 2018

I could see him being as good as Flats, no doubt he'll hit the rookie wall, where he goes from there is anyone's guess.

We're all a bit too quick to dismiss the benefits of these extended breaks. McCaw and Carter each took a sabbatical in 2012 and 2014, which was instumental to keeping them around for the 2015 World Cup. They also built depth in position, which was key to the seamless transition into Cane and...

Realistically, you lack depth in the centres and the backrow. That's where signings will happen.

Guess we'll have to wear it in the final instead ;)

    Topped the table, nicely done.

    Brumbies 2018

Said this in another thread, but I expect Enever is there ahead of Carter because of his ability to play at 6, whereas Carter is only really an option at lock. I'd still expect Carter and Arnold ahead of Enever next year, though this could be an in for Enever to take Arnold's place...

    Wallabies EOYT 2017

Enever probably preferred over Carter because of his ability to play at 6; extra valuable now with the loss of Dempsey and Tui.

    Wallabies EOYT 2017

I still see Lilo as a 12. He's as much a backup for Foley as Beale.

Hey, Hunt scored every point for the Reds that game at 10. ;)

Maybe reserve lock? I'd take Hardwick over him as reserve backrower.

    If you end up with a lineup of 1. Daley 2. Uelese 3. Talakai 4. Parling 5. Coleman 6. HP 7. Fainga'a 8. Mafi 9. Genia 10. Lance 11. Naivalu 12. Horwitz 13. Tuipulotu 14. Koroibete 15. Hodge 16. Hanson 17. Faulkner 18. Weeks 19. Cummins 20. Hardwick 21. Stirzaker 22. McGregor 23...

    Wallabies EOYT 2017

Maybe moving Hodge to fullback will add to his game. Maybe it will distract him from the job of being a winger when Folau comes back. I think this is something that needs to be decided after a conversation with Wessels about where Hodge is going to play next year.

    Wallabies EOYT 2017

Hoping to see Paia'aua and Banks in and around the squad on the tour. Though there's still the understanding that our best backline is Genia-Foley-Hodge-Beale-Kuridrani-Koroibete-Folau.

If Hunt is fit, I won't be shocked to see him at 15 just so we can keep Beale at 12.

Wallabies v All Blacks, Saturday 21st October, Suncorp, Brisbane

The schedule for the full championship never changes. It'll be vNZ, @NZ, vRSA, vARG, @RSA, @ARG again next year. If we want to come into the Bledisloe games with any momentum, we'll have to arrange a friendly against someone else. Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, and so on.
