I'm not suggesting they would have matched those projections over a number of seasons. Just that they had them and the first season came in a little under their first year projected losses.

    Australian Rugby / RA

From memory they had the first 5 seasons worth of costings projected. With the break even at season 4.

    Australian Rugby / RA

Yep. The losses it incurred were actually factored for and they were within those.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Yeah. Makes little sense on a number of fronts. You need to provide enough games to ensure there's value to broadcasters and crowds in order to make it worthwhile. I quite like the system of progressive divisions used in 7s. This way each team would play 4 extra games and broadcasters would get...

Where are you getting the money pit bit from? It has always been cost neutral. The ARC in 2007 was the money pit.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Six is definitely doable with 7 a possibility if you leverage the GRR connections to being in the Manuma squad. Perhaps even bring in the Tigers and base them somewhere here while drafting in some higher level talent (ideally Australian)to help them be more competitive.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

The Sunwolves are gone. Sucks but it's true. And Japanese Rugby is moving on. Suggesting their involvement is counter productive. Similar to the Jaguares. Their squad has been released to explore their options and about half have already taken up deals in Europe. With travel restrictions likely...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Brisbane would be the place to base that team. Seeing as Queensland has the highest NZ expat population in Australia. But that would be an interesting concept. Though, there would need to be a few things worked out. Still, that's some nice out of the box thinking. I like it.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Thinking about that and I'd actually like to see a team in North Sydney as opposed a Western Sydney team. This would force the Tahs to actually start to actively push into the west of the city. Which certainly wouldn't hurt.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

That's another element that needs to be taken into account. This launched to very little fanfare and likely very little since on the platform. If it received the levels of promotion and marketing that the AFL or NRL receives then things could be looking even rosier.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I'll reiterate my point from last night. I wasn't calling you sexist. I just wanted to know why you thought she didn't fit as a commentator. I know that sometimes forum such as this can be difficult to properly express things like intent and context. So unless you plainly stated something...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Tonight's game convinced me of two things. 1) is that Super Rugby Au should form the basis of a domestic structure moving into the future with perhaps the Drua/Lautui added for extra flavour. And 2) quality coaching is paramount and something we need to seriously invest in. Do that and games like tonight...

Super Rugby AU Round 5 Brumbies v Reds Saturday 7.15 GIO Stadium

That was a great game. Played at a great pace. With skill and great physicality.

Super Rugby AU Round 5 Brumbies v Reds Saturday 7.15 GIO Stadium

Isn't McKellar headed to the Wallabies? Hopefully we'll see that maul there soon. I actually think the amount of comments the elements of the game are currently getting are actually a reflection of the quality of the game. Which was excellent.

Super Rugby AU Round 5 Brumbies v Reds Saturday 7.15 GIO Stadium

I'm just venting more than anything else.

Super Rugby AU Round 5 Brumbies v Reds Saturday 7.15 GIO Stadium

To be fair there's no one way of playing Rugby. So technically the Brumbies did play Rugby. But certainly not the fun kind like the Reds. What tonight highlighted most of all to me is the value of coaching. Both teams are the best coached teams in the comp followed by the Force. Who with an...

Super Rugby AU Round 5 Brumbies v Reds Saturday 7.15 GIO Stadium

If your referring to TK as in the TK from the Brumbies then on form he likely shouldn't be selected either. Complete non-entity tonight.

Super Rugby AU Round 5 Brumbies v Reds Saturday 7.15 GIO Stadium

Isn't it great to feel that hate. This is what I'm really loving watching this competition. Every game means so much. I mean I hate the Reds. But tonight having to choose between them and the parasitic growth that is the Brumbies. I loved it.

Super Rugby AU Round 5 Brumbies v Reds Saturday 7.15 GIO Stadium

Mate, without the Reds ill discipline your lot would have likely had a big fat 0 on the score board. Offered nothing beyond your albeit excellent maul off the lineout. FUCK ME I HATE THE BRUMBIES!!! So much so I was actively supporting the Reds.
