    Where to for Super Rugby?

From what I have been told it has something to do with the Union being unhappy about how the Dragons went about promoting themselves on social media. Nothing lewd or anything. More that they thought they hadn't done a good enough job. And it apparently soured from there.

    Un-Australian Activities 2020

You did? Taking into account it was their first game back it still was very average in my opinion.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

First, the AP Dragons and the Singaporean Union left on less than friendly terms last year. So they are no longer and likely won't be based in Singapore unless they repair (or have repaired) that relationship. As for your suggestion. All very solid and practical. So won't happen.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

It's not hard. I get about on a number of forums and regularly interact with people from a large number of Rugby playing nations. Particularly from T2 and T3 nations. Several of them as it turns out have good links with the game in those countries and are more than willing to tell you if you...

I actually quite like the idea of that. I really enjoyed the pseudo Wallabies trial at Leichardt some time back. Would be great if they could get all Wallabies eligible players involved including those based overseas via the Giteau Law. The Green & Gold Series has a ring to it as well.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

If the mentions of the various groups over the past few weeks across several different sources have been too hard for you to follow then that's your problem. But the facts remain. It is highly unlikely that any of them could provide NZR with the requisite quality they so presumptuously dictated...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

And both will be far superior alternatives than the AP Dragons. If the EOI's they've managed so far have been the AP Dragons, the Hawaiian (NZ) bid and two more from Auckland it's hard to see how any of them would have been more competitive than even the Force which while putting up valiant...

State of the Union (origin) discussion

I actually think that could be our point of difference when compared to RL's event. Instead of a Victorian or West Australian having to decide to play for either NSW or QLD to be part of such an event the ability for them to represent their homes would provide viewers with much more insight as...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

There's a lot of harking back to previous seasons as opposed to looking at result from this season. I actually think something RA should be looking to invest heavily in is quality coaches. That has is been and is the difference between the two sets of teams. Not the mythical depth or talent issue.

Sorry Reg. What's the criteria that you're using to select the squads? Because aren't the likes of Brad Wilkin and Nick Frost from NSW? While Matt To'omua while born in Melbourne spent the majority of his youth in Queensland.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I really hate the private school bullshit. And think it has more to do with where in the pile those schools sit. Because I know for a fact that many League players are products of the private system. Just not those schools. My old school for instance has produced many pro RL players. Is an...

    Australian Rugby / RA

Also. No mention of Super W.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I've said as much in the past. But that's not where RA has been proposing going forward. The move to a independent management structure is to develop it as a commercial venture.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Well. Alan Ala'alatoa recently said in an interview that Super Rugby Au has been producing the most physical Rugby he and a lot of his fellow players have ever played. And they are loving it. The attrition argument is steeped in the all encompassing ABs first mentality of NZ Rugby. In which despite how...

What is telling was the bit on how he wants it to be structured. Independent of the Unions designed to attract investment.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I posted on PlanetRugby that the silence we've had over the fortnight and the article about the possibility of needing to continue with the current structures next year coming out of NZ was an indicator of those talks not going well. It may not have been too far off the mark.

Super Rugby AU Round 6 Rebels v Brumbies, 7.05pm Leichhardt Oval, Friday 7th August

The Tahs and Reds came close but the Rebels are able to crack it and provide the loss the Brumbies have avoided by the slimmest of margin over the past few weeks.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

An article out of NZ is suggesting out current arrangement may remain in place next season if the Covid situation doesn't resolve. Citing the current outbreak in Victoria. Which is interesting. Because things have been relatively quiet of late around the future of a TT or domestic competition...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

If the Tahs introduced a membership scheme that offered similar to that of AFL clubs I'd be more than willing to part with my hard earned on an annual basis. I suspect many others would be as well. Beyond that of their current ticket membership system.
