Where did we go wrong? Wallaby Recovery thread.

I'll admit to not watching a huge amount of Rebels games this year but I don't think of Higginbottom as the guy you need to fill that role. If Aelua was fit then he'd be a goer. I think Pocock could do it (him and Hooper at 7 would be scary IMO), Ita Vaea was in that frame as well until his...

New Zealand vs Australia - Bledisloe 2, 24th August 2013

This is just ridiculous. Did the Wallabies lie prone on the field and let the Wallabies score? Did they tie their shoelaces together for 30min to see how they would go? Did they run in the opposite direction to the All Black ball-carriers? No - they were put under pressure and forced to make...

Like, like, like!! I thought he did a great job afterwards on the desk and seems to be one of the few Wallaby's that really understands the hard yakka it will take to be the best. Or he just knows how to say the right things......but watching him play, I highly doubt it.

New Zealand vs Australia - Bledisloe 2, 24th August 2013

Bledisloe 2 is actually very winnable for the Wallabies. The All Blacks struggle to put together 2 very commanding performances and with Cruden out (TBC), maybe a couple more injury concerns and an expected lift from the Wallabies, this could prove to be a tricky one for the ABs. Or maybe not :D

I doubt you'd get banned for that KiwiLogic. Stick around a while and you'll find most of the guys here are pretty decent and have good rugby heads. They just don't like condescending dickheads too much. I often think of it like a real rugby game - we all know that we'll play our guts out...

Hahaha - fair enough....I'll have to take your word for that :) If it was bad on both ends (which I don't really think it was) yet the ABs were still able to get quick clean ball, it's again the forwards not cleaning out well that's really at fault. As a lot of posters here have already said.

On behalf of probably a few other kiwis here....sorry about that guys... hehehe

You're like Will Genia. Looking to the ref to somehow save you from your own forward pack's inability to give you quick, clean ball. The Wallabies got away with some shit at the ruck as well......that's the nature of rugby.

I watched it again and I was surprised how much Horwill jogged around. Unless he was hitting it up himself, he didn't really seemed involved a lot, especially in the 2nd half.

I'm in two minds about the QC (Quade Cooper) booing thing. On one hand I think it's pretty poor and some fans need to just let it go. If the Richie thing happened a game or two ago I could understand it but it was 2yrs ago - LET IT GO. On the other hand I think that if Quade really wants to be the best, this...

Where did we go wrong? Wallaby Recovery thread.

Well, I'm watching the replay now and the ball hasn't actually come out to Folau's wing anymore than twice max in the first half. Yep, he probably could have gone looking for more work but he has hardly played any wing at all in his very short rugby career and the Wallabies really need to...

??? The ball got to his wing fairly oten but he didn't touch it?? Was he actively running away from the ball?

To be honest, there was nothing I saw last night that said the Wallabies are any different under McKenzie than they were under Deans. I'm not saying they won't be - it's his first game - but at no stage during that game did I feel the All Blacks were put under sustained pressure or the Wallabies...

Some of you guys are being way too tough on Folau. The guy hasn't even played a season of rugby and what he has played has been at FB - not wing. He's getting flak for not get involved enough but it sure didn't look like the Wallabies had any gameplan to get him into the game. Mogg was just...

A 10 who does more than just pass the ball out to the centres, who asks questions of the defence, is what gives them more space and time.

Mogg was worse than I thought he mite be. His kicks for touch off penalties had Mrs Bullrush almost falling off the couch laughing. Folau has been the best FB in Aussie since about Week 4 of the Super Rugby, play him there. It also gets him involved more. Biggest problem is the forward pack. Hooper was...
