New Zealand vs Australia - Bledisloe 2, 24th August 2013

I've got an idea of what 'basketball' is but what the hell are all those other words in front of the question marks?!?! :p

The only thing worse than some of his articles are the videos he does with Wynne Gray. He's bloody awful in those.... Oh...and Chris Rattue's articles...LOL

I read this this morning and I thought, 'Yep.....we're gonna lose this one now. Thanks Gregor!' Saw Link at the press conference and gotta say that it's the first time I've been impressed by him. The whole 'The ABs have more right than anyone to be complacent .....' line has me thinking that...

I think Dagg is pretty quick but yeah - not a huge amount of out-and-out speed in the ABs. It's even been a bit of an issue for the 7's I think. Maybe it actually works in our favour. Given that we know we don't have a lot of players who will beat their man for pure pace, we have to work...

All the video does is show why McCaw is such a good player. The game is a contest for the ball and all the clip simply shows is McCaw doing what every good 7 does and competing for possession. As he said in the post-match interview, his timing was a little off but looking at that clip - it...

O'Conner has been pretty well smashed for that first try but in reality, it took a pretty remarkable off-load - and quite a risky one at that, if O'Conner had intercepted he was GONE - to get Smith over the line. If he had intercepted that ball then everyone would probably be saying what a...

Hahaha....he had a fair crack in his write-up I think. While most here were saying Joubert had a good game, Bob thought he was terrible...which was a huge surprise to all the kiwis I'm sure!!

    Interpreting "Stats"

Or when the opposition is camped near the rty-line and the forwards just keep hammering it up, pick-an-go time after time....every tackle there is surely a 'try-saver' :D

Why is Marto employed as a commentator?

I'd usually boo them anyway ;) The game on the weekend was actually the best I've heard them...LOL

I don't care that he picked MMM or Deans picked Mitchell or Henry picked McCaw - my point is that whether a player is 'fit' or not is not, a coach can only select from who is available. Link has done exactly what Deans did in his time at HC.

New Zealand vs Australia - Bledisloe 2, 24th August 2013

One of the criticisms of Deans on this thread was that he picked players who weren't perceived to be 100% eg. Mitchell, Palu, McCabe etc. No matter how many times it was pointed out that these players would have had to have been passed as 'fit' by medical practitioners, physios etc he took a...

Aus vs NZ - 1st Test Sydney 17Aug2013

Luatua is quickly becoming my favourite player.....bloody hard worker, good ball carrier and seems to have a pretty steady head for a young guy. It wasn't flashy but IMO he had a very impressive debut Test start.

What I got from Scott Allen's analysis is that Hooper needs to do more work in getting to attacking rucks and securing quick fast ball for Genia. The All Blacks were disrupting a lot of ball for the Wallabies and even though I thought Genia was pretty average overall, the quality of ball he was...

    Fantasy Super rugby 2013

Joined the league too late for Round 1 but got 414 points in Week 1 - didn't check the SA starting line-up which hurt me a bit as well as being only able to pick 6 ABs!! ;)

I actually think Genia is pretty close to being whistled for not getting it out when the ref calls for him to use it. I've seen him do it Super Rugby as well during the BIL - ref calls use it and he leaves it there for at least another 3-5 sec before passing it. I reckon a ref should actually call him...

If Taylor starts then we really won't be missing too much. He kept DC outta the kicking for a few weeks when DC came back. He's pretty sharp.

I'm not saying there is no luck invovled but: 1. I'm a big believer that you make your own luck. Even that try had elements of good AB work done in the lead up. 2. The Wallabies first try was bit of luck as well with a good bounce for Hooper. I'm not trying to say anything like the ABs are...

That was my impression as well but again - haven't watched a huge amount of Rebels this year.
