Wright’s a quality player - but not an 8. Could maybe fill in there but he is really a 6 or 7. I think he’s a fair way behind in the pecking order though. I don’t think there will be many new players in the tests this year but one guy who could feature is Harris.

I feel for the coaches though. Our depth was so poor that a lot of guys have been promoted ahead of time. I’m hoping that we are coming to the end of that.

Did Gleeson really deserve his shot though. He played well for Australia A but the EOYT confirmed he is a long way from ready for tests. And I thought that was obvious before the tour. Wilson may not be killing if at test level, but he makes his tackles and clean outs, has a better work rate...

I would suggest on that team if is Daugunu being selected over Flook. I personally expect both Petaia and Flook to be in the staring XV with Flook most likely wearing 13 & Petaia on the wing.
