    RWC: Australia v Fiji - 23 September 16:45, Millenium Stadium(24 September 1:45 AEST)

Think this downplays Smith's abilities. He should play close to 80 against Uruguay and I'm backing him to have such a good game we'll be discussing whether he has put himself into contention for England and beyond.

RWC: SCO v JAP (Kingsholm) - Pool B

I think Scotland will find the big hitting Samoans more difficult than the Japanese. Japan just needs a few days off to recover emotionally and they'll be good to go again. I fancy they might win both their next two games and still miss the finals for bonus points.

RWC: SAM v SAF (Birmingham): POOL B

Brits has got to get some time on the park. I guess this is one game where he will be OK.

    RWC: Australia v Fiji - 23 September 16:45, Millenium Stadium(24 September 1:45 AEST)

I haven't seen the Fiji-England game but based on the commentary from that one Fiji appeared to significantly improve tonight. I thought they were excellent in defence, particularly in midfield. We did not get the usual value from Kuridrani when he had the ball. While there were fixable issues...

Eddie Jones Stormers, No, Wait, England coach

Coertzee put them into a horrible defensive straightjacket and they could not attack to save themselves. Jones will organise their attack (probably over-organise) and I would expect to see some good systems, albeit without much flair. The only team capable of flair in SA are the Cheetahs.

    RWC: Australia v Fiji - 23 September 16:45, Millenium Stadium(24 September 1:45 AEST)

Y Yeah! He will either have a howler doing too much or the game of his life trying to show Cheika he was worth a team spot. I do hope its the former and not the latter. In reference to comments on wing selections for this game. I am pretty sure we will see Mitchell on one wing against...

    RWC: Australia v Fiji - 23 September 16:45, Millenium Stadium(24 September 1:45 AEST)

Pool results so far mean that not only do we have to win against Fiji but we have to score four tries. Otherwise we fall behind in a pool where we cannot afford to do so.

RWC: SAF v JAP (Brighton Stadium) Pool B

de Allende and Kriel cut our team to pieces in the RC and I thought then that it was a changing of the guard. They will be the no. 1 centre pairing in world rugby but de Allende will have to wait till after the WC for JdV to retire. SA keep their heroes for too long. Look at how long Smit was...

Score please. SBW on? Who is off? No TV channel in Spain hotel so only news is the match thread.

RWC: SAF v JAP (Brighton Stadium) Pool B

Japan have still got three more must win games to top the pool. I reckon they'll lose at least one of them, just because they are not used to playing at 100% for four straight games and their opponents are roughly at their level. If SA win their last three it will come down to for and against...

RWC: SAF v JAP (Brighton Stadium) Pool B

France played badly and lost pool games last time and still made the final. But I can't see 2015 being a repeat. SA were stone motherless last in the RC and that form seems to have continued.

RWC: ENG v Fiji (Twickenham) Pool A

I don't think its all that likely, but just how good would it be if Fiji got up. I'd be smiling for at least a week! :)

    New Zealand Rugby Team Watch

Why so on Milner-Skudder? Savea is the player on very thin ice. His defence is poor and he is the player most like Naholo. Smith and Milner-Skudder will take the dual fullbacks role and Naholo will be the try scoring machine. You heard it here first!

NRC Rnd 4: NSW Country Eagles v Sydney Stars

Jeremy Tilse playing lock? I know he is tall for a front rower but that is ridiculous. Stars are seriously crocked. If Country doesn't walk away with it then we should call in the stewards and swab the lot of them!

    Japan Super Rugby team

That immediately poses more questions than it answers. The current three conference system allows a maximum of home timezone games. I've had a 30 second think about it and can't come up with a 16 team format that doesn't severely reduce home games. Two conferences means Aus will have to split...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

You may be pretty close to the mark utr. There are a couple of alternative strategies that the coaches might use given their previous dispositions. I think too that the Fiji team does not have to be the "best" team in all positions as someone could readily play Uruguay and England, especially in...
