Either of them right now are 5 times better options then Hodge or NL.

Fair point. I wonder if Quade Cooper is around....

Hanigan plays lock at the Tahs and I bet will play there more often next year. He's the same mould as LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) (in terms of the set-peice). Until I see the scrum going backwards I will reserve my judgement.

Yes. The ceiling is higher for all those options.

It's pretty understandable in Covid times. Might not even be possible to get them back. Might as well take this as an opportunity to blood some youth.

Although Hodge has a big boot he is a terrible general play kicker, so slow. So playing 'at the right end' of the park is going to be difficult without a solid kicking game. At least Banks is there for that.

I actually like all the changes apart from the 10-12 channel. BB is going to tear it up. Swinton and Wright are great inclusions.

Even workrate? Anyways, I think theirs worse things to worry about like Hodge at 10, and Paisami at 12 who both have very limited game time there.

I'd prefer Hosea but what can you do. Hanigan has looked better around the park, and I think the scrummaging is unknown, we'll see how he goes. Hopefully he surprises.

I like it. Perform or get dropped. Especially in the early stages of his coaching tenure. Sets a nice precedent.

He played a bit of lock at the Tahs. Although I understand your perception (like when Fardy played lock) but I haven't seen any evidence Hanigan is a poor scrimmager at lock.

Happy to see Wright get another shot, but damn Samu is unlucky.

    Hanigan covers lock fine IMO.

Hodge at 10 is madness!!! ....Well I guess its that or a 20 year old who already proved Test rugby was too much for him :(

Just when the BB and Moúnga combo was starting to really click they rest Moúnga. I still fear BB at 10 more-so. :(

I think Simone would be a better defender then Paisami at 12. Paisami gets caught out of position too often. Both are capable of big hits (although paisami probably does this more often). I like the idea of JOC (James O'Connor) 10 Simone 12.

So you'd go back to the same backrow as Bled 1. Not sure Rennie will roundabout back to that, it was clearly missing something he wanted, he's more likely to keep trying out different combinations.

This was my first thought, but then I realized its 2020. Players are so dynamic and multi-faceted these days. I think it's far more important to find balance amongst the backrow. The "traditional" roles of each position are becoming less important and I believe its far more important to find...

Yeh and thinking about it more. Wright isn't tall enough to be a dominate jumper anyway. He may be good enough to win his own ball but he's not going to disrupt the opposition ball too often. You really need a Hanigan or Higginbotham type backrower if you really want a solid line-out option...
