    Currie Cup 2012

Paarl how is JP going for province? He hardly got any game time at the rebels, then got cut for the new season due to midfield depth. Would have liked to see him play a bit more as he had big wraps on him when the roosters signed him for rugby league. How close is he to cracking the currie...

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

I think the most telling stat from that segment was that McCabe had only passed the ball 3 times in the whole tournament. Not an encouraging stat when our most devistating attacking players are outside backs. I suspect its more game plan related, but still.

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

That young sheep in nz predicted that we are going to win and the all blacks are going to lose. I suspect the sheep will soon become mutton.

So if you disregard provincial form, and you don't give someone much opportunity in test arena, how are you supposed to know if they are worth of selection? Super rugby is not test rugby, but you have to earn your stripes there before you step up.

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

Higginbotham has not been given nearly as many opportunities to prove him self despite showing better form at provincial level. He is often times criticised for playing too loose, but when our backline is lacking powerful runners I don't think its such a bad thing. If our pack had any semblance...

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

Why no higgers. Makes no sense. I wouldn't have picked mccabe but the game will be won or lost in the pack so it doesn't worry me.

    Australian Test Matches 2012 onwards

Also would love to see us play the lions at a packed out MCG.

    Australian Test Matches 2012 onwards

I dont think you can complain to much about test matches in brisbane. They are always sell outs, and the wallabies seem to play better.

    Shute Shield 2012

Is moving juniors to sunday really the best way to do it? I preface this by saying I know little about sydney junior rugby, but I would have thought we'd be better suited to follow the kiwi model and kill the junior club rugby at about 13 and have kids play for their school. Makes logistical...

    National U/16 Championships 2011

Pocock played inside centre for churchie in 2004 due to the fact they already had a backrow full of rep players and he had the skill set at the time to play 12. Not sure if he played there again in 05 or at flanker.

    Rugby Coaching

Just an example, the time is irrelevant.

    Rugby Coaching

I think focusing on the basics is the most important thing when coaching younger blokes. Breakdown play, support play, passing in front of the man, set piece, defensive structure, importance of quick ball/slowing down the ball. No one really has a game plan at junior rugby level so I find if...

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

What is the injury status on our inside centres? Can McCabe play with a bung shoulder, more importantly, can he play his 'power-contact' style with a bung shoulder? Because if not I dont really see the point in picking him since the most effective areas on his game will likely be impacted...

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

I expect cooper and barnes to just kick in behind you or wait for a disorganised line. I think if australia wins they need to firstly dominate the break down, and secondly have good structures in place to manage the high ball and turn it into counter attack. For a small man genia is very good...

RWC 2011 - Bitch, moan and discuss - Referees and Law Discussions

That rating just confirms what many on here already believe - that joubert, poite, barne and ownes are the best going round. And bryce is shit.

Not another "Four More Years Boys"

I agree. The money spent on Australia A tours would be better spent of grass roots competition where it will go a lot further.

Fucking bryce. I would rather a saffa ref this game than bryce.

Not another "Four More Years Boys"

'A' team tours may not help these countries as much you think as they often times lead to players getting capped for australia and then not being able to represent other countries when they are discarded by the high performance system. From next yeah there will be a pacific 6 nations and irb...

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

Ref will be Lawrence, Owens, Barnes or rolland. Hopefully they give the french game to rolland as he speaks french. And I honestly dont know how they could persist with bryce lawrence as he is so very bad. So here's hoping we draw Barnes or Owens, the lads are going to need all the help they...
