    Waratahs vs Reds - R3 2014

Reds need to be secure under the high ball. I think they will be coming. Tahs will need to match the pace of the Reds pack. The Reds have the edge in this dept. Set piece is 50 50 with the Tahs holding a stronger scrum and fair to say we probably have the edge at the lineout. Hard to...

Brumbies vs Reds - Saturday 22 February 2014.

Was at the game. Bloody great night from my point of view. Very happy with the way the Reds played. Room for improvement but quite a settled round one performance. I look forward to the following period of silence from the Richard Graham bashers. Quade is becoming quite the reliable goal...

Would prefer Lucas. Better attacking game.

Good win in the trial you fellas.

    Trial: Reds v Rebels - Friday 14 February 2014

This is opportunistic at best. Time to get over it. Woody and the Reds are the one package now. Have a dig if we start the real season with a string of losses or something but after a trial loss and a week out from the season proper. It really is time to get behind the team and just be...

    Waratahs 2014

Outside center is an issue for the Tahs. You have options but it is most likely they will be plucked from other starting positions which will disrupt your combinations. Hooker is the biggest issue though. I thought the Tahs had good stocks at lock. What you need is one to put his hand up...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

Not in all cases but sadly you speak some hard truths. Fellas, might be an idea just to take the personal insults out of your posts and keep the discussion civil.

    Reds 2014

Big question fellas is what do the reds want in a 12 this year. This is relavent in that Cooper has become a more rounded 10 in the last 12 months. If Ant plays 13, I would not be opposed to trying Lucas at 12 at some point. He has demonstrated a good attacking instinct, a solid defense...

Trial: Waratahs v Highlanders, Hunter Stadium, Newcastle, 14 Feb, Fri, 7:30 PM (EST)

Both Horne and Lance are reputable as good defenders. I think the Clan will be stronger without those big names. Ellison and McIntosh are big losses but the others never really did shit to advance the clan. A smart man once said "rugby is not played on paper". Tahs will win this one though.

    Waratahs 2014

That one would make Bob Dwyer jolly. Plenty of support play and second touches. Was a bloody beauty though. Very smooth skills considered it was only a trial. They look to be in the right place.

    Western Force 2014

Our fucking idiot government withdrew the funding claiming it un affordable but gave 4 million to Parramatta to come. It sucks this year not having the trial up here. I think the only way we will get rugby back is if a franchise commits to playing matches both in Darwin and Alice Springs...

    Trial - Reds V Chiefs @ Toowoomba Sat 8th Feb 7:40pm (AEST)

Don't worry Beefcake. Now we are claiming Canadians that don't want to give up their business interests as proud Aussies.

    Waratahs 2014

I think the player the pressure is on now is Douglas. He is going to have to really step up because regardless who partners him at lock will be the greener of the pair. At his stage it is probably going to be good for him.

    Trial - Reds V Chiefs @ Toowoomba Sat 8th Feb 7:40pm (AEST)

Ha ha, we both got fucked over by the mother land but how does that explain why they flock over here in droves. They are like the Irish of the Southern Hemisphere. They tell you how proud they are but there are more of them outside the country than within it. Insert disclaimer here - THIS...

    Trial - Reds V Chiefs @ Toowoomba Sat 8th Feb 7:40pm (AEST)

From the highlights the Reds looked good, plenty of structure, skills looked good and they played at a good pace. Obviously the video was cherry picked but that's how I saw it.

Beats me why people would waste energy crapping out on another code. Is it not enough that you enjoy rugby?

    2014 Saffer Conference

Just saw a clip on Total Rugby with Schalk Burger. He looks a lot like BJ Hunntcut with that mo.

    Reds 2014

We know the Reds cattle and we know how they have played in the past but what remains to be seen is how Woody transfers that into his vision. I am very curious to see where it heads this year.

    Reds 2014

Should we end up with a back three of Davies, Shipperly and Turner, that would ooze genuine pace.

    Rebels 2014

Colby Fainga'a always reminds me of Thierry Deusitour in how he plays. Always physically combative and never shunts the hard stuff. Not the flashiest player but always rock solid.
