Don't see it that way at all. He comes in with a horrendous attempt at a gator-roll clean out and instead of just not letting go quickly, reaches up again with his second hand and completely obstructs Liam from playing the ball - which he was in a great position to do. It was an intentional...

    Reds 2015

He brought some real mongrel back into to his game during the later stages of the NRC, made me smile - even if some of it was a little less than legal. Liam's always been incredibly skillful and reminds of Pocock with how comfortable he is transitioning from tackle to pilfer, but I think he's...

    England v Springboks - Twickenham

5'11" is a bit short for one too - fortunately it was just a rugby analogy to explain a gridiron catastrophe.

    What position did/do you play?

Played openside flanker in highschool (coming off of 11 years of folkstyle wrestling it was just a natural transition - I was insanely fit from a cardio perspective and pretty quick too, strong as anything on the ground even if I wasn't the biggest kid in the pack) as well as during my first...

    England v Springboks - Twickenham

They were inches out, between the posts, and threw a cut out pass to a winger standing still instead of giving the piggies a few chances to just drive it over. Multiple times in a row.

    England v Springboks - Twickenham

Honestly if the Philadelphia Eagles had a Saffa on staff encouraging some more the NFL equivalent of Channel 1 ball running, they'd be undefeated on the season so far and not 7-2  Multiple downs (against San Francisco and Arizona) on the 1yd line and we run play action out of the...

    England v Springboks - Twickenham

First half was like watching a sloppy bar brawl between two big blokes (one slightly bigger than the other) and neither are winning because they keep punching their own faces

    France v Australia

NZ weren't exactly doing their best impression of a maul defense last weekend, either. I think he was a little heavy on the whistle but the English were just straight up beating them up at the maul.

    France v Australia

Higgers is one of the most naturally gifted athletes in Australia - it'd be about time.

    Pic needs a caption

"What the hell is Rob Simmons even doing there? That's not legal."
  12. USARugger

    Reds 2015

Does the question mark over 13 look something like this?

    Ireland v Australia

Joe's coaching is so clearly evident in the way the Irish play now it's actually a bit surreal. I'm not sure how else to describe it other than they play like one of the best-coached sides in the world right now, just so effective in their system and they stick to it absolutely.

    Wales v Australia

Just give Hooper a year off and get him that leg-lengthening surgery and we're covered at 8 for the next decade.
  15. USARugger

    Waratahs 2015

I like them both but for different reasons.
  16. USARugger

    Wales v Australia

The sheer workrate and intensity involved in the final play of the game from Hooper actually had me feeling a little gassed.. That's just unreal at 82 minutes.

    Reds 2015

@Bobby Sands Speaking of balance I think one of his most underrated attributes is exactly that - he's got very good balance for someone his size. Often manages to recover from being knocked off center where other players would stumble forward or fall over - allows him to throw the step at...
  18. USARugger

    Reds 2015

He had a few bustling runs in that game against the 'Tahs he started where he dragged a few of their backs with him as he went - but on the whole I'd have to agree. Maybe someone should tweet Quade and ask him what the fark happened to 'Beastmode'?
  19. USARugger

    Reds 2015

The only center we have with a comparable size/playing style to Magnay is Kerevi, anyway. It's not nearly as redundant of a selection if you're looking at it from the perspective of developing a playing system and having the right bodies to fill the roles in that system, even if someone goes...

USA v All Blacks Test - Chicago November 2014

It's all a bit of black magic because of how statistically unreliable Nielsen Ratings are but by the transitive property of "I think I still remember how to do math".. The Breeder's cup drew a viewing audience of ~2.5mil and ended up with a 0.4 rating. USA v. All Blacks scored a 0.7 - so...
