    ISA 2017

I think on this occasion, the "visitors treatment" was dished out, as predicted prior to kick off! on a back field. Apparently your 1's didn't need any assistance. I wasn't at Bathurst, but I saw the previous round at Rat Park, where Stannies were deserving winners. I was disappointed in a few...

He certainly isn't the first to come away from Bathurst licking his wounds at dubious decisions.......

Many decisions made in the past few years were not black and white. But the mismanagement of the Super clubs in the past few months is starkly black & white. The ARU have been demonstrably incompetent. So much so, that accountability for this mismanagement needs to be attributed, and corrected...

^^^^ I don't see it that way. New CEO comes in, says to his new mates at SANZAAR, sorry chaps, nothing else I could do under the circumstances I inherited.... Everyone can see who fucked up.

IF his relationship with the two franchises that are suing the ARU as a direct result of his actions, are toxic? Toxic might well be an understatement. Billy can't eat the shit sandwich and resolve this before his contract expires, without total capitulation.

British & Irish Lions tour of New Zealand (2017)

First time I've ever heard that the Lions are happy to lose games. Better effort in attack? how? Against a provincial side with their 7 best on rep duty and another 2 injured? They are going to struggle to win more than they lose, which I'm sure has never ever been an issue on a Lions tour.

British & Irish Lions tour of New Zealand (2017)

The last play summed up how much trouble they are in. That was 100% panic. Zero compusure. I thought when the Landers would be forced to use their bench, their lack of experience would hurt them. I think their energy put the wind up the pretenders in red. It's going to be a long tour...

Gardner had a shocker, but not nearly as bad as Gatland. Ffs man, you are going to be cannon fodder for the AB's unless you start playing some footy. If these preliminary games are to get your combinations/patterns ready for the big boys, then you are doing a shit job. But if the main priority...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

C'mon Bill, you know what the right course of action is.. And no, it does not not include a golden parachute.

not for decades at state level.

Schoolboy teams received subsidies for decades? Not at state level. They didn't even organise team accomodation (at your cost) not that long ago. They booked the flights for the team, and it seemed to me that the cost included your share of the coaches costs....

Absolutely agree that all new participants are a positive. I don't understand the need to make a distinction. A new team of under 12's in Penrith has the same value as a new women's team in Rockdale. It's absurd to suggest that the Penrith kids should pay a levy to the ARU, whilst the Rockdale...

To be fair to ARU, the AFL announced the concept, and were flooded with aspiring players. There is not that sort of interest here, I'm not sure how the ARU could generate it, but just throwing women on planes every week cos that's what the men do, is not the solution.

It's unequivocally been a raging success. But Women's AFL in Vic can't be compared to women's Rugby in NSW, I reckon they would rival Sydney subbies in term of teams. We are years behind AFL in terms of women's participation, and a National comp was considered a bridge too far by them. lets...

These CBA's are interesting, it seems our codes here have all pretty much agreed on around 29% of revenue should be the players share. This has been the model adopted by US pro sports. However, in the US their franchises spend sweet fa on juniors, and they are huge businesses earning big money...

Why do you infer the ARU will step in with the $200k? from inception, they have ensured that any costs of this competition are not their responsibility.
