    Reds vs Waratahs, 2011R10

AB lives in QLD now. Lived across the road from Mosman Oval(now Allan Border Oval) where Mosman play first grade cricket. He went to North Sydney Boys. They had some dominant cricket sides through the years pity it is now predominently asian. They used to produce reasonable rugby sides as well.

    Kurtley to Melbourne?

Can't understand it myself. Seems a huge gamble to take.

    Shute Shield 2011

Don't think it is.... Many club's have offered the services of a car in the past(Gordon with Hendrik Roodt, Easts and quite a few others as well) there is nothing stopping Parramatta or Penrith using connections to advantage the club. It's what you put in to make your club successful that you...

    rugby boys playing Toyota Cup

Talking about the AFL the old man is a sportsmaster at a Public High School on the Northern side of the Harbour. AFL bloke scheduled a meeting which ended up being a waste of time. Conversation went like this : We are running a competition in your area on Friday afternoon's we will do...

    Shute Shield 2011

I assume Latekefu is still playing for Parramatta and has just withdrawn this round?

    Shute Shield 2011

    Shute Shield 2011

Yeah thought that was the case Melrose took a huge paycut to stay full time.

    Shute Shield 2011

I think it's just Manly, Uni, Northern Suburbs(with a mix of marketing, pretty sure), Eastern Suburbs, Southern Districts and Eastwood(well Melrose was last season).

    Ashley-Cooper will be a Waratah

Lee - You have got to be kidding you were appalled to lose AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) the bloke who along with Cliffy Palu didn't make a CHS side!

    Waratah Shield 2011

True that. My dad coaches them most of them he get's in Year 7 of Asian heritage(because it's a selective school) and have never touched a football. He reckons he needs 15kg on every player as well!

    Waratah Shield 2011

Apparently released St Augustines play Normanhurst Boys first round haha.

    Shute Shield 2011

Lee I would take what the Manly Daily say with a grain of salt. That Jason Avedissian has been known to quotes out of context within cricket circles(even with Manly players) and tends to be very controversial.

    Shute Shield 2011

Totally agree he should know all Brumbies and Waratahs players at least. Most clubs go after the Brumbies guys and especially if they are originally from Sydney...

    Shute Shield 2011

Samu Wara played for Norths in league. So he was a Bear and played at North Sydney Oval.... Wouldn't surprise me if he did....

    Shute Shield 2011

Looks like ex Brumbies and Reds winger Henari Veratau is at Northern Suburbs this season.

    Shute Shield 2011

That's not true. A club will always help out if they really want to land a talented player. The more work you put it generally the more you land especially from the country. It may be just a case of Manly putting 4 young Colts players in a Unit and paying/partially paying the unit for all 4 of...
