I'd Like to see AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) at outside centre.

Let Horne develop a bit out on the wing, like Mortlock did. His body is so fragile atm, which I believe is reflected in his bodies lack of development. I read that he was under 6ft at school and then put on 3 or 4 inches in the same yr he made his super rugby debut. Sometimes it takes a while for everything else to catch up to that. He's only 22 after all.

He is easily one of the faster players in the backline so he could be a hit on the wing. I think he currently lacks a little power in the centres as well.

i agree with the fragile bit, he has had a bad run. but power is something he doesnt lack for his size at all. he is every inch a centre and while you have mitchell and turner fit, i dont see why he shouldnt be in the middle somewhere.

I have a secret to admit: I actually like Canberra. I didn't before I knew some locals but it really changed my opinion. Prefer Sydney but I'd happily live there.

"Knew some locals" - presumably in the Biblical sense.

The only plausible explanation would be that he got lucky at least twice down there. Amazing how it distorts your perception - at least in the short term.

I was appalled to "lose"" AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) (and Cam Shepherd) when they were young blokes as their promise was unmistakable. But now I doubt if his return is good for Oz rugby. Hickey's comments already indicate that he will be given the run around and be a filler of positions, though given the fragility of Horne, he could get a permanent spot.

I would gladly swap him him for an elite scrummie next year but there aren't any available, though I would like to get Nick Phipps back in town, as I have mentioned before.

Lee - You have got to be kidding you were appalled to lose AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) the bloke who along with Cliffy Palu didn't make a CHS side!

But very good just after he left school wasn't he? IIRR I saw him play for Northern Suburbs in 1st Grade when he was a teenager; he was certainly picked up by the Brumbies very early and I remember being disappointed.

Wallabies star Adam Ashley-Cooper has been shunted to the wing as the Brumbies get set for the Highlanders

Wallabies star Adam Ashley-Cooper has been shunted to the wing as the Brumbies attempt to get their Super Rugby season back on track.

Versatile Ashley-Cooper, who has announced he's joining the NSW Waratahs next year, will be filling his third position this season in the Invercargill match.

He played fullback last week in the narrow loss the Waratahs and outside centre for earlier matches, where he struggled to make his usual impact.

The Brumbies have struggled to a 1-4 record, their worst start to a season.

To'omua, normally a five-eighth, comes from the bench for his first start of the season and gets a chance to prove himself at No.15.

Winger Francis Fainifo is the man to make way for Ashley-Cooper, and goes to the bench against the Highlanders, who are placed third in the New Zealand conference.

In other changes, Salesi Ma'afu gets his first start at tighthead prop with Dan Palmer moving back to the bench.

Peter Kimlin moves into the starting team as blindside flanker in place of rookie Colby Fainga'a, who has re-signed with the Brumbies for another two years.

Brumbies team: Matt To'omua, Henry Speight, Andrew Smith, Christian Lealiifano, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Matt Giteau, Josh Valentine, Ita Vaea, Julian Salvi, Peter Kimlin, Mark Chisholm, Ben Hand, Salesi Maafu, Huia Edmonds, Ben Alexander. Reserves: Anthony Hegarty, Dan Palmer, Colby Fainga'a, Michael Hooper, Patrick Phibbs, Tyrone Smith, Franky Fainifo.

I wonder if this would be happening if he was staying though?

If I was in the Brumbies organisation, I wouldn't give a flying f**k if AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) was happy about his postion or playing time anymore. I'd be more concerned about getting some of the young guys some exposure at this level and working out where they will fit in best over the next few years to come. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) can fill the gaps till he goes.

The Brumbies are close to making a caqll on whether they are contenders in 2011 or whether this will be a rebuilding year....if you go with rebuilding then AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) doesn't matter anymore.

Brumbies are just looking for answers and playing their talented backs. Playing Giteau, Lealiifano and To'omua isn’t a bad thing. Andrew Smith is a good size 13 with pace. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) can adapt he has his whole career. He has been given the option to roam.

They seem to have Gits, To'omua and Lealiifano all in the wrong positions, though.

Consider that Gits used to be considered a world class 12, Lealiifano played fullback mainly in the ITM cup, and To'omua is a flyhalf and has played there in most of his senior and rep matches.

What about Giteau, then? He's pissing off at the end of the year, too.

Genesis 19.5 - Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.

Hopefully Jnor got to do the knowing and wasn't the knowee in this instance

Sad to see AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) go to the Waratahs. Would have been a much inspired move to leave his bint behind all together and head west.

I think they can manage without AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) but no so much with Gits.

It's hard to believe that re-signing AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) wasn't at least partly behind Friend's firing - that worked out well huh?

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) was the player that recommended to the board that he be sacked. Shows how crap brumbies admin really are
