Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

For mine, I would start Tupou, particularly if Coleman is out, desperately need some big, hard hitting hard running guys. While I think Latu has been better than BPA both tests, with TT at LHP and his familiarity with BPA, for mine I don't change hooker. Assuming Coleman is out Arnold to come...

TSR, I think you can be pretty comfortable DHP and Folau will be 14 & 15, however 11 is a problem. Two of our top prospects from last year, Koriobete and Speight, have been in dismal form, and Hodge only a little better. I would like to see Nayarovoro there, but only as 23, not starting. I think...

    Round 15 - Chiefs vs Waratahs @ The Tron - Saturday 5:35pm

Tahs can still finish 2nd with a strong run home. Lions are only 5 points in front and have played two more games than the Tahs. Need a win here to keep that possibility live though.

IS, you must be fun at a party!!!

    Waratahs 2018

Holloway still makes the odd good carry, he just seems to drift out of games for long periods. At this level, you have to be switched on for the whole time you're on there, not clocking off like the U8s do.

    Waratahs 2018

Luke Jones and Samu particularly. That's not to devalue McMahon, who is possibly the best player of the three, but with Hooper & Miller we're pretty well covered there. But a lock and a big, busting six, now there's a couple of spots we really need.

    Round 14 - Waratahs v Highlanders @ SFS - Saturday 19 May

Fairly predictable, with the exception of Latu. I don't mind it, but thought Roach did a pretty fair job last week. I'm afraid Staniforth fails to impress me, but I guess we have no choice. Good to see McCauley get a run, if he goes well this week I'd be happy to see him start next week...

    Round 13!!!!!, Crusaders v Waratahs

First of all, while I was extremely disappointed, going down by 2 points to the best team in Super rugby, when just one of Foley's goals could have won it, isn't a bad result. Yes, we should have won after being 29 points up, yes we lost our way for 30 minutes, yes we lacked discipline, but it...

I like AAA as a footballer in general play, but I don't know if his scrummaging is at test level. Last year when he came on to replace Kepu was when the Wobs scrum went to pieces, and a fortnight ago he did no better than hold his own against the much maligned Tom Robertson. I think if Tupou can...

Super Rugby Round 8, Sunwolves vs Waratahs - Saturday 3:15pm

A win is a win, it's a bonus point and the Sunwolves are certainly a better side than they were last year. That having been said, it certainly wasn't a good performance by the Tahs. They gave away a million penalties, and the defence around the tackled player was very poor, the Sunwolves...

    The Wallabies Thread

Every time there is a disagreement with a selection, it's put down as 'Cheika's favourites' or 'Cheika will never change', which is starting to get a little tiresome, particularly when you consider the number of new caps under Cheika. The fact is, Beale has been defending quite adequately in...

ACT Brumbies v NSW Waratahs, GIO Stadium 31 March

Tough, dour sort of a game very typical of Tahs/Brumbies. Tahs ball control was pathetic in the first half, has to be fixed and quickly if they are to be in it when they play the grown ups. A few random thoughts; I thought Mcaffery was the best player on the paddock, really impressed me. The...

Super Rugby Rd. 7. Rebels v Hurricanes at AAMI Park, Friday 30th @ 7.30pm

It seems to me that when the Rebels keep it going they can hold their belief, but if you can put a couple of quick tries on them the heads start to drop. Also discipline was poor, at one point three penalties in a row marched the Canes up the entire length of the field. But gee that Canes side...

Dane Coles is a good pick Dctarget, how about Zinzan Brooke, big, mobile and could pass and kick?

    The Wallabies Thread

I agree Lance's form has been better than Foley's, but another factor not to be overlooked is goal-kicking. In four games this year Foley has only missed one kick (and that hit the upright) and is kicking at 96%.

    Waratahs 2018

A quick stat for Tahs fans to ponder. In the 4 matches for 2018, the Tahs in the first half have scored 44 points and conceded 80 points, they have not yet won a first half. Conversely, in the second half they have scored 91 points and conceded only 36! They have not lost a second half. WTF, do...
