Do we now borrow from the Kiwis and make Joe Moody public enemy number one?

Boo him at every available opportunity? It'd be nice to have some noise at Tahs / Wallabies games and hey, maybe the crowd could bond around it.

#justAnIdea

And then if the Kiwis accuse us of booing, we can deny and tell them we're just chanting his name - 'Mooooooooooooooooooooody'. But with a soft M. And a soft DY.

Not the most positive chat from Gibbo!!

Jack Dempsey was back training with the Waratahs this week but Gibson said he wasn’t holding onto hope he would play in a sky blue jersey this year following a serious hamstring injury.

How much better would the fucking Tahs be if they signed Samu, McMahon and Luke Jones (who is supposedly coming back to Aus)?

A lot better is the answer.

Luke Jones and Samu particularly. That's not to devalue McMahon, who is possibly the best player of the three, but with Hooper & Miller we're pretty well covered there. But a lock and a big, busting six, now there's a couple of spots we really need.

Dempsey plays 8 then if Samu is at 6? All we really need is one more big ball carrier in the forwards and we’d have a pretty complete outfit. If only Holloway could emulate that golden period.

Holloway still makes the odd good carry, he just seems to drift out of games for long periods. At this level, you have to be switched on for the whole time you're on there, not clocking off like the U8s do.

The penalty he gave away last week drifting round the side of the ruck and kicking at the ball was so frustrating. Such an obvious penalty.

He looked like he could have been a Wallaby a couple of seasons ago and now you wonder whether he should have a contract for the next season.

He got an injury just at the wrong time and has never been the same - and I don’t think it’s the direct physical result of the injury.
It’s a weird fact of rugby life.
Hope I don’t jinx him, but Hooper has 90 super caps and has seemingly played every minute of every game of every season of his career.
Luck is a very important requirement of pro rugby.

Rumours the Rebels are chasing Luke Jones and the Brumbies are chasing Samu - I don't think we'll be able to compete for those signatures.

It does mean, however, that they'll have to part with one of:

Rebels: Ross Haylett Petty, Sam Jeffries, Matt Phillip, Adam Coleman.

Brumbies: Valetini, Naisarani, McAffrey

We should be chasing some of the above - one of the Arnolds from the Brumbies should also be looked at.

Snag any 2 of those and we've got a pretty handsome pack for next season.

Big game this weekend against the Chiefs. With so many injuries and returning from South Africa they are definitely vulnerable.

A win would make it really hard for the Rebels to catch the Tahs whereas a loss would have the Rebels breathing right down our neck again (they play the Sunwolves).

The Tahs are 5 points behind the Lions but have 2 games in hand. A win over the Chiefs would give them a very strong chance of leapfrogging the Lions to second on the table by the end of the season giving them two home finals if they're good enough to beat the 7th placed team in week one of the finals.

Sunwolves may very well beat the Rebels eh.

I was talking about players with a mate and Simmons came up.

It is quite amazing, he gets signed and a terrible lineout becomes effective in both attack and defense.

The only caveat we could think of was that we also have a tradesman hooker who throws well instead of Latu to factor in as well
