Australia vs British and Irish Lions 2nd Test (Melbourne)

Why do these blokes have "managers"? Even the average John Citizen could tell him you must appear in court when summonsed!
  2. Mr Doug

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

Will the sacking of Mickey Arthur send shivers down Robbie's spine? Is it the coach's job or the manager's job to insure that the correct footwear is worn? Photos in todays Australian show Beale's studs v Halfpenny's. Not a good look!

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

I note that throughout this forum, some of you are including Lilo in the 2nd Test backline. Has the mandatory 1-match ban been dropped for those who have a nana-nap during the previous match?

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

That's ok SammyP, it's just a 65 year-old's attempt at humour! Question to all you sports fans: Would the Jonathan Davies knock-out on Lilo be the fastest in Rugby history? The fastest KO in professional boxing appears to have been by James Thunder, a Samoan, who put an opponent to sleep in...

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

Lighten up SamyP! Though what I said was fact, (you couldn't pick him on what he contributed to the game), it was said in a humourous vain. Like most others on GAGR, I want to see him recover, and when he's deemed "fit to play", win us the third Test.

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

My thoughts: Forwards played well as a "group" (I hate that expression)! Digby is not the brilliant player he was a couple of years ago. I felt 'concerned' when JOC (James O'Connor) was anointed as our # 10. Is there a place for the Honey Badger in the squad, or is he injured too? Lilo should be taken aside by a...

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

I almost got my predicted draw!!
  8. Mr Doug

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

    Aussie Mike, where are you?!
  9. Mr Doug

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

AS, one must be in possession of the ball at the time of crossing the line to be awarded a try!
  10. Mr Doug

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

Big Benn running like a back, but no ball security.
  11. Mr Doug

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

KB (Kurtley Beale) stuffed a possible try by Folau, Mc Cabe off and try to BIL, with conversion. Wheels falling off the Wobs billy cart! Selections for next week anyone?

    Prophetic words HJ!

No adds in Qld Hugh, but screen goes black every so often!
  14. Mr Doug

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

Geez Hugh, I think it's a dead-heat, that's very impressive! Worried about your RED wine though. We have chosen the Methode Champenoise tonight! Enjoy the occasion, cheers.

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

As they say in the fashion industry: "For tonight's test match, I have chosen the well-known LRJs, my Wallabies socks, my 1999 (long-sleeve) Wallabies RWC (winning) jersey, a Wallabies v Lions 2001 scarf, topped off with a 2003 Wallabies cap". A Wallabies banner hangs in our living room, and a...

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

I refuse to drink any XXXX product. Having been raised in NSW, I know what good beer tastes like, and thus have more respect for my "internals"! Our home is a designated XXXX-fee zone!!

    Time to watch 10 news

We always watch Ten News, then 9 Gold Coast news, then ABC! (I have the only permit in our home allowing use of the remote control)! Have been impressed with Ten's BIL tour coverage so far. Looking forward to hearing G Bray, Matty B, Sterlo Deadlock, etc., 2nite.

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

Match starts 8:00pm Eastern Standard Time. By the sounds of reports out of Brisbane, many of the BIL's fans will be too pissed to remember the game, regardless of the result!

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

It won't be a surprise bryce, as commentators who know more than I do about the BIL team makeup and options, say that we can expect them to deliver a game format similar to the one you are suggesting! [Especially given the weather during the match (around 13c, clear sky, with light winds)].

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

For Sully, and jollyswagman: I just Googled "Classic ANZACS rugby", and to my surprise it was streamed live, I guess by Triple M, the sponsors of the Classic ANZACS v British Lions 15 match. Looked to be a reasonable crowd at Ballymore on such a miserable night!
