I'll be over in Hong Kong covering it for Green and Gold. If anybody wants to catch up for $2 corona from the local 7/11 I'll see you there!

That would explain it then.. Good idea not to invite the stars. I rate Joel Kuchel quite highly. As I mentioned previously I think Harry Hoopert will be knocking on the door for Australian schoolboys. Naming a team this year would be a huge stretch for me. I'm well and truly out of date...

Ah, on the wrong page then. If that's so, have you got any idea why that might be? I'm genuinely confused though why players like Unga Wolske, Harry Hoopert, Reuben Wall, Sean Farrell, Martin Koorts or Hamish Stewart played JGC but didn't get selected to the Queensland team - I thought Harry...

By my maths, 86 GPS players were involved in JGC U17 this year. From which SEVEN made the QLD U17 team. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Benroy has played 80 minutes in both his games this year, so I'm not sure if his poor fitness is still the big obstacle. He's behind Pleash, Sikimeti, Sham Vui and Garrath Ryan (Padua/Norths). If Fox is being converted to a mobile prop then he's probably behind Fox as well. The other notable...

What a day in terms of announcements. I have both good news and bad. The good news is that the Reds U20s National Championship squad has been selected, of which former GPS players make up 21.5/25 (86%) of the squad. Aaron Pleash (c) - IGS Adam Korczyk - BSHS Angus Scott-Young - ACGS Digger...

I'm sure I wasn't the only one, but I had huge wraps on Liam McNamara coming off the pre-season. So disappointed that he was injured in regular season, his skill set will go very well in Sevens. Better at least than Moseley, who's greatest skill was obviously that giant boot which I'm hoping...

If true, you'd imagine that the increase in coaching quality would reflect in increase in recruitment budget as well. Would this raise Ipswich into dark horse contendership in anyone's opinion? Maybe. I've always felt S&C was the thing that let IGS down each year.. They've almost patented the...

Thanks - I'd recommend reading it yourself if you're interested. I don't think it dealt with the Schoolboys - just his First XV props. I disagree, in that Rugby League is probably spewing that all it's Rugby League talent is being siphoned off to Rugby through these GPS Boarding Schools...

Another fun fact: Nikau Te-Rupe, GT 2013-14, has been named to start on the wing in a Bronco's trial game on March 5. Coming off the interchange bench is Matt Parcell, Ipswich Grammar 2009, and brother of 2013-14 halfback Harry Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was looking through the thesis papers of Australia's level 3 rugby coaches and spotted a few familiar names. Dave Enfantie, TGS, wrote his paper on the place of offloading in attack. Jason Gilmore, formerly of ACGS, wrote his paper on the science of the linebreak. Damon Emtage, BGS, wrote...

Found the Darling Downs team. All up, 86 GPS reps involved in JGC with 18 in possession of First XV caps. @linespeed No, not yet - I'm allergic to preseason!

Is there a national championship sevens that those boys are competing in? If so, does anyone know when the fixtures are scheduled? It'd be a lot of fun to watch if they played in Brisbane. Plenty of dynamic athletes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

G'day everyone. Long time no see. Had a peruse of the JGC squads, pleased to see plenty of GPS representation.. Going through the names I spotted a fair few First XV reps from last year. Joel Kuchel, Sean Farrell, Fraser Cotton?, Fraser McReight, Tim Sippel, Martin Koorts, Zac Shepherd...
