    Wallabies v All Blacks @ Suncorp - 18/10/14

Grant NZ, bro, sometimes its just better to let some posts from certain posters go straight through to the keeper... :) Savea's play in both attack and defence is invaluable at the moment. Long may it continue.

So any predictions on next ARU press conference? "Beale signs new 3 year ARU contract" :)

    Wallabies v All Blacks @ Suncorp - 18/10/14

To be fair HJ, OZ were getting shunt backwards when they had ball in hand in those last 3-4 minutes. Some of our bench players (the Blues duo of Mealamu, Tuipoluto and Charlie) were hitting the defensive line hard and with some force. The OZ attacking line seemed quite disorganised also. They...

Robbie Deans vindicated :) The timing is impeccable.... When did the players find out?

Smith took it behind the penalty spot but in line with where Joubert was. That's fine. Massive news about Link.

Commiserations to the Wallaby supporters. That first half by the Wallabies was the best rugby they've played all season. Fardy was hard to the ball and made the ABs pay for not committing numbers. Lilo was very effective ball in hand. The tactics were largely right with little kicking to our...

I'll play along purely for fun (and nothing else): 1. Crockett 2. Harris (Coles and Mealamu out) 3. O. Franks 4. Retallick 5. Whitelock 6. Luatua 7. Cane (McCaw out) 8. Messam (Read and Kaino out) 9. TKB (A. Smith out) 10. Cruden/Barrett (Carter out) 11. Savea 12. Fekitoa (Nonu out) 13. C...

    Wallaby Captaincy

And some on here would probably argue that Hooper would be a better player of Moore was in the team and captaining.

    Wallaby Captaincy

Exactly. A much more levelled head response, whilst being decisive. Quite liked his comments about Patston also.

Sydney Stars . NRC Official Team Thread

Pretty good attacking game to watch, although there was some matador defence at times.

Yep really looking forward to this. Goldie on the Rugby Club right now.

Crockett has thrived under the new scrum engagement rules. Doesn't get nearly as penalised as much and despite what Pfitzy might think :) and rightly so. Crockett is a menace around the field and I think that's what the cartel really like in him.

Kaino has played one decent test this year (vs England) and the rest have been very up and down. He looked sharp for the Blues when he came back from Japan, but other than that it hasn't been great in my view. Messam played excellent vs the Boks and provided some real impact (the penalty...

Quite pleased to see Barrett get the start and Messam also. No midfield cover whatsoever.

    The Wallaby 12 Conundrum

The way I recall it, at St Eddies both Henjak and Giteau played halfback. Henjak was the preferred halfback and went on to represent OZ schoolboys and age grades. Giteau changed positions but still played some 9 for Queanbeyan if I recall. One of the die hard Brumbies fans may recall this...

    Wallaby Captaincy

Moore is still first choice hooker when fit, so should be first choice captain. IMO he probably should've had it before Horwill.

I think it will be the following Israel Dagg Charles Piutau Conrad Smith Malakai Fekitoa Julian Savea Aaron Cruden Aaron Smith Kieran Read Richie McCaw (capt) Jerome Kaino Sam Whitelock Brodie Retallick Owen Franks Dane Coles Wyatt Crockett Keven Mealamu Joe Moody Ben Franks Steven Luatua...

In the late 80s and early 90s Auckland and Otago were the dominant forces in NZ provincial rugby.
